It was Saturday morning, and of course I had a message waiting for me.

'Good morning gorgeous girl, did you sleep okay?
I REALLY hope I can see you later 🥹💜 xxx'

An instant smile appeared on my face and I knew I would see him later. Matty was going for a meal with a couple of his friends and I had said I'd attend the leaving drinks of an ex-colleague (which I was fully planning on doing).

'I slept okay thanks, did you? And guess what? ...I'll see you later 🥰 xxx' I replied.

'Are you serious? You're joking aren't you? Please tell me you're not joking!?'

'Matty is going for food this evening and I've got a thing I need to be at later but I can come and see you for a few hours maybe?'

'YES! YES PLEASE DO! See me for an hour, 3 hours, 3 days I don't care, I just want time with you' .

I loved that he was so happy about this, I was too, and now I had to think about what to wear. It was the middle of October and although it wasn't too cold, it certainly turned that way in the evening. I had to think of what I could wear to his that would also be okay to wear for the leaving drinks after.

We messaged all day and when Matty was leaving, I called for a taxi. It was going to cost me £25 just to get to his and the same to get back, was I mad? Or was I so heavily intrigued by this person that had captured my full attention that money wasn't even a priority?

The taxi was going to be ten minutes, so I slipped into a cute black skirt, and a long sleeve black top that had a white collar. I paired it with my favourite Vans and added my trusty warm coat incase it got cold later, and added a little of my favourite perfume.

I got into the taxi and the driver was a talker - which I didn't mind, but Blaine and I were also messaging the whole way there. I was so excited and yet so nervous. My stomach and chest felt like they'd been scrunched up into a little ball.

As I got to the road and pulled up outside his house (I had to be sure it was the right number as it was dark and I couldn't tell, I'd never been there before). I paid the taxi man and thanked him, and as I got out, I noticed Blaine waiting at the door for me. He was in a top and shorts, and wearing the biggest smile. It felt so good to see someone smiling like that just from seeing me.

I stepped into his house and he shut the door and hugged me. But he didn't just hug me, he took every part of me in. I could feel it, it was like I'd never been held this way before. He held me tight, took a deep breath and let out a positive sigh, like he finally felt relieved and satisfied.

'I'm so happy you're here' he whispered gently in my ear while still holding me. 'Even if only for a couple of hours, I'm just happy I get to see you'.

Was this real? I thought to myself. How could someone be this happy to see me, so genuinely humbled that I was in his presence.

He led me upstairs and into his room, which wasn't huge but not tiny either, it was cosy. I climbed onto his bed which was surrounded by purple LED lights - they added to the atmosphere well.

He joined me, and we decided to watch something on the TV. This was nice, just being in each other's presence, I didn't care what we were doing.
We chose a show and it wasn't long before his attention was completely off of the TV, and fully on me.

'He looked at me, again, like he was taking me in. He looked down and said, 'I like this skirt, and top actually'. He put his hand on my leg, and I felt like I was trembling inside. The rush, the electricity, I could have sworn I was capable of blowing up and having a power cut! And all he did was put his hand on my leg.
