I sighed, putting my phone down and rubbing my eyes. They burned from reading so much, and my fingers hurt from writing so much. Why do teachers have to give out so much homework? I swear they plan it somehow...
"Okay. Let me know if you wake up or if there's anything I can do." I smiled. Callie cared so much already, I can only imagine what it'll be like when she comes here.
"Okay." I yawned and stretched in my chair. There was a knock on my door and I spun around to look at it. "Yes?"
"Hey," Oliver popped his head in. "Wow, you haven't even changed. Have you been there since we got home?"
"Just about-" I yawned, "-yeah. Why? What's up?"
Oliver walked over looking at the homework. "Nothing, just. . . Damn, you've done all week's homework, do you realise?"
"Yeah, I know. I wanted to get ahead in at least one subject, and if that's maths then so be it, I guess. Are you sure nothing's up?"
"Oh, yeah, I'm just bored since Amelíe went to sleep. She goes to sleep before 9:30 most nights, whereas I stay up, so I get bored. But by your yawning," he cut me a side glance when I yawned again and looked back at my homework, "you should be going to sleep, too. Come on," he hauled me out of my chair and I groaned.
"Oliver you don't need to be in here," I stretched my arms up.
"I know, but look at ya," he gestured to me. "You haven't even changed out of your uniform. I'll go get you some milk, and change while I'm gone." He inclined his head to my closet and then left, shutting the door.
I sighed and grabbed my leggings and a hoodie, changing into them. There was a knock on my door again and then Oliver walked in.
"Right, here you go," he handed me the milk and I drank it. He took the empty cup from me and led me to my bed.
"You know this is ridiculous, right?" I said as he held my blanket up for me to get under it.
"Oh, yeah, I'm aware. But it's happening anyway, so what can you do."
I got under my blanket and he put it down then patted it.
"Oliver?" I asked as he was at the door. He looked at me, surprised, a hand near the light switch. "Thanks."
"Oh, yeah, sure, any time. It's important to take care of ourselves, and since we both know how much you kinda suck at that, I guess I need to take care of you for you and Callie. Good night, Harper."
"Good night, Oliver."
He flicked off my light, closed my door, and I went to sleep.
