*CALLIE*
In the middle of class, I felt a light stab and inhaled before seeing what was written. I frowned when I saw it was a time, but quickly wrote it down on a corner of a paper. I grabbed my pen from my pencil case and responded.
"??"
"Its the time here I hope thats ok?"
"Yeah no of course it is but why are you sending me it?"
"Wait youre in class right? shoot tell me when class is over and Ill say then Id hate to distract you"
"Okay"
"Dude," I jumped a bit when Alex whispered in my ear, "you gotta clarify you're a girl to 'em." I purely nodded.
"You gotta come with me to ask S.S. something, though."
"No problem."

"Mr. Fales?" My social studies teacher looked up from his computer.
"Alex, Callie, what's up?"
"Uh, let's say that I have an internet friend, and I have around what time it would be for them, but I'm not sure where it would be that time. Could you help me?"
"Well, I won't mention the dangers of an online friend, but yes, I will help you. What time did they say?"
"They said it was 2:32 P.M., and this was during last hour."
"Well, it's 2:32, and this was during last hour, so I'd have to say the UK, or around there."
"Thank you so much, Mr. Fales," I said and grabbed Alex's arm to drag her out of the classroom.
The lunch bell rang and we left to our shared locker to grab our lunches, then we went to a spot outside under a tree, different from where we normally sit. I pulled a pen out of my school jacket (an optional addition to the uniform) pocket and rolled up my sleeve.
I know I thought it was unlikely she was in England, but now I'm finding out she might actually be?"
"Can I. . ?" Alex asked. I nodded. She scooted closer so she was right next to me on my right side. I wrote one question.
"UK?"
"Yes you?" I released a breath.
"Tell her where exactly because it's so big," Alex whispered to me.
"USA Arizona"
"South of England yeah" She let it disappear, then she put, "the beach actually"
"wow were so far"
"yeah" It disappeared, and before I could think of a reply, "can I ask something?"
"Sure go ahead" I looked at Alex with a brow raised. She shrugged.
"Whats your name?" appeared on my arm.
"Oh," I say out loud. "Wait, do I tell her? Because what if she does think I'm a guy and is disappointed or stops replying to me or-" Alex put her palm on my mouth, silencing me.
"You wouldn't be soulmates if you weren't meant to be. Go ahead and tell her."
"But mo-"
"You are not your mom and she is not your dad. You guys are not the same as them. She is not your dad. Tell her."
"Okay. . ." I took a deep breath before writing, "Callie Taylor" I watch as it disappeared and was about to ask hers when she replied.
"What? Thats" it disappeared as she didn't say anything, then. "Thats a girls name though" I closed my eyes and took another deep breath before writing.
"Yeah thats because Im a girl"
"I gotta go" and then she was gone. I hit my head against the tree behind us.
"Damn it, damn it, damn it. She totally thought I was a boy. Damn it." I sat with my eyes closed, and asked Alex, "What am I going to do? I don't even know her damn name while she knows mine."
