*HARPER*
"Honey?" Mum knocked softly on the door then opened it, poking her head in.
"Yeah, mum?" I put my phone face down and moved my head so I could see her in the doorway.
"Are you okay?" I smiled at her.
"I'm getting there, thanks for checking in, mum."
"Okay, well, just remember, I'll always help if you only ask, and I love you, so I'll leave you to have time to yourself again."
"Love you too, mum!" I called to her as she closed the door. When I turned on my phone again, I saw a message from Callie.
"Hey, I'm going to sleep, it being 11:13 now, and so the morning can come quicker and Alex can leave so we can Skype video chat sooner :) good night!" I wasn't sure when she thought of video chatting, but I was glad our first one was going to be just the two of us. I smiled as I replied.
"Of course, what a genius you must be. I'll probably just go to the park or something, so don't hesitate to tell me when you wake up so we can video!! I'm already excited :D"
I checked the time, 7:14, and got up. I stretched and changed into my favourite red shorts, a floral crop top with slightly puffy sleeves, and my platform vans.
I walked out of my room and straight into my brother, Oliver.
"Heard your scream from the beach last night."
I shoved him out of my way, saying, "Shut up, nobody asked what you did and/or didn't hear." Oliver grabbed my wrist and I turned around to see him frowning.
"I didn't mean it like that. Are you okay? What made you need to scream?" Not want. Need. Ever since we were younger, Oliver and I told each other every minor thing, except recently we haven't been on the same wire.
"Nothing. It was nothing, don't worry." Oliver frowned even more, looking concerned, like he knew I was lying. Another thing that's lasted since we were younger: I only scream to the sea when I break. And I don't break often, or easily.
"Har-" I got my wrist out of his hand.
"Leave it alone." I walked downstairs to eat, seeing mum. She stood up slowly, done with her cereal.
"You know. . . He only wants the best for you." She placed her bowl in the sink after rinsing it. She rubbed her hand on my shoulder when she passed and I stood still. I sighed and started my walk to the park, putting aside eating.

"Well, if it isn't the girl with the girl soulmate!" I sighed and turned around, seeing Dray and a bunch of her old friends, as in her friends before she was my friend. Who are bullies.
"What do you want, Dray?" I wasn't really in the mood. I wasn't really up for much at this point after my break last night. Breaking always has a tendency to leave me mentally tired. I watched as Dray looked at them all and they nodded, then she came up to me and made me back up until I was against a wall.
"What's wrong?" Her voice sounded sincere and worried, she wasn't smirking anymore, and her eyes kept switching between my own, until she added, smirking again, "Does your soulmate not want you anymore? Is she straight unlike you?" She faked a pout, then stepped back from me. I stepped forward to walk away, but she shoved me back into the wall. I closed my eyes and sighed before opening them again.
"Why?" I asked simply. "You heard me last night, I know you did. Hell, Oliver heard, So, I'm asking why. Why, after that, are you doing this?" I felt a tear slip down my left cheek, out of view of Dray's new friends. Her eyes looked so sad. . .
She looked back at her friends and they grinned as wide as humanly possible. She smirked at them in response and turned back at me, the sadness gone. She grabbed my shirt, pulling me close to whisper in my ear, and said, "Because you're officially a fag." She let my shirt go and stepped back a step. "Leave." She listed her head in the direction I was walking in, but I didn't need to be told twice. As I walked, my phone went off, signalling I had a message and I turned on my phone, and sighed, wiping the tears that started forming as soon as I turned away.
