Unnoticed

Penny was walking out of the ceremony with Harry as she looked down at the diploma in her hands "and now I can do anything I dream of" She says as Harry chuckles "as long as you have money"

Penny goes to say something as her phone rings. She reaches under her gown as she returned the phone from her jeans pocket before she looked at it. The police scanner she had hacked was alerting her phone as she saw it.

"Really? Now if all time?" He asks. She shakes her head "No it's fine, just a gas station robbery no big deal" she puts her phone away as they are greeted by a very excited woman "Oh it's such a great day! You've graduated and your all grown up!"

Harry and Penny turn as her Aunt May approaches them with her arms out wide "Aunt may you made it!" Penny says as she happily gives her aunt a hug. Harry just stands off to the side with his hands in his pockets as he already took his gown off.

"I know I'm so excited!" Penny says with a smile as she and her aunt hold hands "what ar should going to do?" Aunt may asks. Penny replies "I'm gonna try and get a job at Oscorp. Harry vouched for me so I could get in easy"

Aunt may turned to Harry "look at you being a gentleman" Harry held up his hand "I wouldn't be a good boyfriend if I didn't give my girl everything she wanted"

Aunt may looks at Penny "and he thinks about you every day look at that" Penny rolls her eyes "He's just putting up a front. In reality he just wants inside my pants" Harry laughs "guilty as charged"

Aunt may sighs "and here I thought you two were mature" as Penny and Harry laugh before they hug each other, Aunt may holds you her phone for a picture "here, say Canadian Bacon!" Both Penny and Harry reply at the same time "Ham!"

As Aunt may snapped the photo she looked at it as Harry walked forward "did you get my good side?" He asks as she looks at him.

Just the. An arm goes around Penny's neck as she looks left and sees "oh, hey flash" she says. The tall football player looks down at her "hey hey, Lincoln how's it going"

She rolls her eyes "You do know I wasn't named after the actual Penny right" Flash shrugged "coulda fooled me" he then points to himself with his thumb "me and the guys were gonna go out to Randy Razrats to celebrate, you wanna join us, you can bring the Osborn with ya"

Penny shakes her head "no sorry me and Harry already have plans. But thanks anyway"

Flash shrugs again "your loss" then he looks over "Hey! Yakamesh! Where Alex!" Flash calls to someone as he walks away.

Just then Harry wraps his arm around her waist as she looks at him "why don't you get changed and meet me at my car let's grab something to eat"

Penny nods as she walks away and heads to change.

You exited your utility truck as you close the door and look up at the faulty power line. "Every time" you say as you clip your tool belt around your waist and put a pair of heavy gloves on. "Hey why don't you go fix this power line during your lunch break because it's your special day"

You talk to yourself as you start climbing up the wooden pole "When you celebrate your birthday you expect more than just a shitty Morning and day" you mumble as you reach the halfway point up the pole. You see part of the wire is split as you reach down to grab your roll of electrical tape. You rip a piece off and stick it to the wire "won't fix it but it will keep it in place until I get back tomorrow"

You then out the roll back as you climb higher and reach the top. You see the fuse box is blown as sparks drop from the bottom.

"Let's hope this is simple" you say as you click the side and pull open the door to the box. You see the damage as you notice some of the wires are snapped entirely. "Aye aye aye, it's always sowmthing"

You reach down to your tool belt as you grab your screwdriver and put it in your mouth as you reach back up and grab a screw attached to one of the piece if metal that connected the fuses.

You then grab the screwdriver and began to twits it as you remove the screw as you drop it into your hand as you remove the piece of metal and grab the wire. It sparks as you jump "Woa! Careful now" you say to yourself as you pull your hand back. After a moment you put the screwdriver back in your mouth as you reach back to the wire and examine it. The wires inside the wrap are broken like they got ripped apart.

"Great, gonna need to replace this entirely" you think as you reach down to your belt and grab a pair of pliers. You reach back up and clip them around the wire and pull as you bend it back, then you switch the pliers out for a small pair of cutters and snap off wire from the bottom as you pull out the dead wire. Putting the cutter and screwdriver back in your belt as you look at the wire you twist it around as you grab it with your free hand as you reach back into the box and examine the other wire. It was still attached and seemed to work fine so you nodded "just the one. Makes my job easier" you set the metal piece and the screw back down inside the box as you close and lock it

"Come back tomorrow finish the job. Not gonna work all day on my birthday"

You say to yourself as you start to climb down the pole using the rods sticking out.

When you get halfway down you turn and see a few guys rummaging through your truck "Wh-HEY!" You shout as they look up at you."shit! Go go!" One of them shout as the 3 of them all grab the items they were looking at and run as you quickly climb down and jump off the last few rods as you land and stand up.

But the 3 of them climbed into a pickup truck as they quickly took off. The last guy in the bed of the truck flipped you off "later!" He giants you.

You hold out your arms as you yell "really?!" You drop your arms as you move to your truck and look inside to see what they took.

You see your glove box was open and you get angry "ARE YOU SERIOUS?!" you turn around and slam your door closed "GOD FUCKING-" You stop as you take a breath and calm down. "There goes my rent" you mumble.

The thieves had stolen the few hundred dollars you had in your glove box you were going to use for your rent. But now it's gone "maybe I can make a deal"

You unclip your tool belt and just lazily toss it in the passenger seat as you climb in the truck and close your door. You then rest your head on the steering wheel.

"Happy Birthday to me..." you sigh.

As you rest there, your radio goes off as you grab it from the dashboard and hood it to your ear "Yea..." you say. "Y/n! Hey man look we just got another call! Some chicks apartment complex lost power and your the closest one could you run by and reset it for her"

You sigh again "Am I getting paid extra for this?" He laughs "what? No, if you get her power fixed then she would recommend us to other people. And possibly visit and I could get lucky as your boss"

You just drop the radio as it hangs and sways under the dashboard as you grab the steering wheel again.

You then start your truck as you put it in gear and turn back onto the road as you drive back into the city.

On your way back you you get a phone call as you hear it. The ringtone is a dubstep type of song. As you answer it you put it to your ear "hello" you say as Max speaks "hey I forgot to wish you a happy birthday today, I saw you were pretty busy earlier so I didn't say anything"

You shrug "it's no problem man I get it" max then speaks "I'm gonna head out for lunch you want anything?" You look over as you see a train getting ready to cross as you hit the brakes and slow down to a stop. Multiple cars in front of and behind you.

You shake your head "no, no I'm alright" before max can reply you hang up and toss your phone in the passenger seat. Then you check your watch as you see your lunch break is almost up anyway.

"No money. I'm hungry. And nobody remembers it's my birthday..."

You then just close your eyes as you rub your face and lean back in your seat "Someday people are gonna notice me. Either that or their gonna miss me when I'm not here to do their shit anymore"

As you complain you drop your hands and sigh.

"It's alright y/n. Do your job, go home and celebrate"
