Electrical Love

Confrontation

Penny was sitting in the grass dressed in her Spider suit. She had woken up that morning and heard the news report.

"3 bodies have been found. All 3 were identified as Oscorp employees. Specifically in the science/Electronics division" she whispered. She knew. She knew it has to be you as you told her about those 3 people who treated you the worse as Oscorp.

She had hoped it wasn't true however. As this would change some things. She was waiting for you. She knew you'd come back. And right as she thought this, the power cable that lead into the ground from the power pole beside her sparked as you quickly emerged and took on your physical form.

You were dressed in your new outfit as you stood behind her. Quietly. She didn't turn to face you. She remained silent. So you walked forward and sat down next to her.

The two of you staring out at the ocean. I'm the distance multiple boats went about. You took a breath as you sigh.

She doesn't look at you as she takes her mask off. She then looked at it and then tossed it a few feet in front of her. "That was you, wasn't it. That was messing with my TV yesterday"

You nod "yea..." you say quietly. "You followed me. To my home" she says again "Yea..." you reply. She then turns her head to face you "why. You followed me home. To my home. Where I'm supposed to be alone and safe from the world. Why"

You shake your head "Honestly...I don't know...I guess I just wasn't ready to be alone yet..."

She looks back to the water as she goes quiet. "I'm...im sorry...Penny..." she turns her head back to face you quickly. "So you know who I am. You were never supposed to" you nod again "i know."

She then turns her body to face you. Both her legs moving out to her side. "If you didn't want to be alone. Then why did you leave at all. We were talking."

You sigh "I...I didn't exactly do it on purpose. I was curious and I touched the wire and...I just got sent away. I didn't really control it"

She then turns back to the water. "Why are you being so nice to me" you ask. She responds "Because at first, at first I knew you were scared. That you didn't know what to do. That you didn't want to hurt anybody. And I wanted to show you that people did care about you"

You look at her "and now?" She sighs "and now I don't know if I can trust you. If if I trusted you too quickly. I mean I heard the reports. 3 Oscorp employees dead. And your the only one who would target them. After what happened. And then you follow me home. Where I was supposed to be alone. That's my safe place. My haven and you betrayed my privacy"

You hold out your hands "what was I supposed to do? Just go into hiding? Enter the raft? Or just live in some power facility?"

She sighs with frustration "yes any of those things! The reason I didn't take you to raft like the others was because I thought I could help you! But after you go and just murder 3 people! Not even that just revenge! That's not good! And then you follow me and watch me for who knows how long and then everything else!"

You stand up as you ball your hand into fists "Dont yell at me!" You say "I was scared! But now I can control my power! We can work together! The two of us! As partners! Just like you said! I'm your eyes and ears! I can-" she interrupts you as she stands up "Jesus forget about that! I just said that to make you feel better! You were a regular fucking guy! I saved your life and wanted you to feel hood! So I said that!"

You step back as you take a minute. "You mean you Lied to me?" she balls her hand so to fists as well as she steps forward "yes ok! Fine I lied to you I didn't expect to actually see you again!"
