(Picture of what I imagine Raven to look like)

"Hey Raven, I need help," I call over to where she is in the store.

It's been about a week and a half since I went to the mall with Jack and I did get the job.

I've been working for almost a week and it's been great. I've gotten pretty close with Raven because we have almost identical schedules and Jack and I have still been hanging out a ton.

"What's up?" Raven asks walking over to me. "How do I remove an item from what was already scanned?" I ask. I feel bad because I had to make the poor girl wait for me to try over and over. I finally gave up and decided to just get an expert over here.

"Oh it's really easy!" She says nonchalantly, telling me how to then letting me do it. "Thanks girl. I don't know what I'd do without you!" I call out to her as she walks back up to the front of the store to welcome customers.

"Alrighty here's your receipt and I hope you have a great day! Sorry for that little dilemma by the way," I smile at the girl.

"Oh! Don't worry about it, I'm not in any hurry." She assures. "And you have a great day as well," she adds and then leaves the store.

No one else is in line after her so I go around the store to refold clothes or reorganize.

While I'm folding clothes, Knee Socks by the Arctic Monkeys comes on and I get really excited. As the song goes on I start to bop my head and dance a little to the music.

"Ayee nice moves Niomi!" I hear a familiar voice shout from across the store. I stick my tongue out at Jack and continue to dance and fold the clothes.

All of a sudden I see Jack come up beside me and grabs my hands and starts dancing with me. I laugh and jump around with him while other employees look at us with amused faces.

People walking by that see us may think this is "unprofessional" but to me, it's having fun while still doing what needs to be done.

"Ok, some people might think this is cute or whatever but most will find it annoying and disruptive." A girl named Brittany huffs. She's the snobby one out of all the employees. She's not out of hand or anything, just too uptight and stuck up.

"Oh loosen up Brittany, they're just having a bit of fun," Raven tells her, lightly nudging her side. "Whatever," Brittany rolls her eyes and walks into the back room.

Jack and I eventually stop dancing and get back to doing real work. It was a nice little break though.

"So, what time do you get off tonight?" Jack asks me. "6:00. What about you?" I answer him. "6:45," he frowns. "I can wait for you to get off if you want," I tell him.

"You don't mind?" He asks. "Nope! I don't have any plans and I don't really feel like going home right away anyways," I reply. "Ok, thanks," he smiles. "No problemo," I grin, poking his side and walking over to the registers to get to a costumer.

"Hello, how are you doing today?" I greet a younger girl, probably 14 or 15. " I'm good! How are you?" She replies, putting her pile of clothing onto the checkout counter.

"I'm great! All these clothes are so cute!" I tell her.

"Thanks! I'm just trying to get some cute clothes for the rest of the summer," she laughs lightly.

"I feel ya, but you have a great eye for fashion." I compliment her. "Thank you so much!" Her eyes light up when I said that. "No problem girl!" I smile.

"You and your boyfriend make an amazing couple," she tells me, pointing over at Jack who is oblivious to our conversation.

"Oh, we're not a couple," I say, looking down and blushing.

"Oh! I'm so sorry," she laughs out of embarrassment. "No, no, don't worry about it," I assure her.

"Ok, but just for the record," she starts leaning closer towards me," I can tell he likes you." She whispers the last part. "Really? How can you tell," I ask, just curious.

"I saw you two dancing. He looks at you like you're the most gorgeous person in the world. You can see it in his eyes and smile," she tells me.

"Wow, you're very observant," I mumble, impressed that she payed such close attention to two people that she'd never met before.

I finish ringing up her clothes and fold them all neatly into a bag and she pays for her clothes and we say our goodbyes before she leaves.

I look over at Jack and see him goofing off with one of his friends that works here. Could he have feelings for me? We've only known each other for about a month. I mean, I obviously find him attractive. What female wouldn't? And I also enjoy his company but that can be just a friend feeling.

I shake my head, making myself stop over analyzing the situation. We're just friends and until him or I make a move to prove otherwise, that's how it'll stay.

"Hey, you ok?" Raven asks, walking up beside me. "Yeah, just thinking." I tell her. "What about?" She questions.

"If you feel comfortable saying." She adds quickly. I laugh lightly, "it's fine, just silly stuff," I shrug it off.

"Alrighty, let me know if anything is bothering you though. I'm here to talk to," she says, giving me a side hug. "Thanks, same both ways." I tell her, returning the hug.

I check my phone and see that my shift is over now. Its 6:10 which means I still have about 35 minutes until I leave with Jack.

I decide to look around the store and do a little shopping. I find some shorts, a cargo jacket, some tshirts, crop tops and a few rompers. I go to the fitting rooms to quickly try on everything.

The first outfit I try on is a cream crochet tank with a black bralette underneath and some black denim shorts. I like the way it looks so I put that in the pile to buy.

The next one that I try on is a romper with cut outs on the sides, and back. It's gorgeous and again, I decide on buying it.

A few of the outfits are no no's. The shorts either made my butt look gross or the shirt would fit awkwardly.

I finally have the clothes that I'm going to buy and go to the register to buy them. Luckily, I have a slight store discount since I work there (A/N: not really sure how accurate the store discount for PacSun is so yeah haha).

"Well hello there," Jack grins, standing behind the register. "Hello, I'd like to buy these," I play along. "Well I'm glad to help," he says. "Well, these are some nice clothes. You have great taste." He compliments. "Thank you, kind sir," I laugh.

"Ok, your total comes up to 203.56," he tells me. "Why is the place so damn expensive," I mutter, grabbing money out of my cross body.

"I don't know actually." He answers. "Jack, it was a rhetorical question," I laugh. "Psh, I knew that," he shrugs. "Ok Jack," I laugh.

•••••••••••••••••••••

"Yo, hurry up," I whine, impatiently waiting for Jack. "Patience," he shushes me. "I'm hungryyyyyy," I groan.

"So am I. And I hope you know the more you complain, the longer I'm going to take," he smirks making me shut my mouth.

He finally gets all of his stuff and we walk out of the mall together, debating on what to get to eat.

"Im feeling like I could eat some Del Taco," I say, getting settled into the passenger seat. "But we just had that like two days ago," he complains.

"Fine, then what do you want?" I ask him. "I think that Five Guys sounds wonderful." He sighs.

"Jack, we had that yesterday," I laugh. "I don't recall," he replies. "Fine, we get Five Guys today and Del Taco next time," I say. "Yayyyy!" He exclaims, putting on some music and pulling out of the parking space.
