(Pic about is who I think Jess would look like)
I'm standing outside of Jess's house, contemplating on whether to knock or just leave. Without even really realizing what I was doing, I knock on her front door waiting for her to answer.
I hear someone coming downstairs and Jess opens the door looking confused and slightly worried that I was here.
"Oh um, hey Niomi," she greets. "Hi Jess," I shorty reply.
"What are you doing here?" She asks. "I could be asking you the same thing. I thought you were going on a family trip," I say, confusion clear in my voice.
"Oh, well I lied," she honestly replies. When she says that, her hair moves slightly and I see a purplish shadow on her neck.
"Is that... a hickey?" I ask, moving her hair. She backs away from me looking annoyed now. "Yes it is, now can you just leave?" She sneers. I'm taken back by her reply, responding to her with," listen, I don't know what the hell has been up with you lately but I'm not putting up with it. So you decide what you want to happen. Either you speak up and tell me whatever the fuck it is that's bothering you to where you're talking to me like I'm trash or you just tell me that you don't want to see me anymore and I'll leave. But I'm not going to stay around just to be treated like this."
Now she's the one who looks taken aback and I start to leave when I suddenly hear that familiar voice muffled from upstairs.
Next, I hear footsteps coming and Jess has a real look of worry now, knowing that whatever this is, she's busted.
"Hey, what's taking so long?" The voice I now recognize as Blake's says from right behind the door.
That back stabbing bitch...
"Oh! Blakeeeeee," I drag on his name. "Long time no see! So how long has this little shin dig been going on huh?" I ask, venom dripping from every word.
"Niomi, wait. Please just let me explain." Jess starts while Blake just has a stupid little smirk on his face. Bastard.
"No. I thought we were friends but then you go around sleeping with my ex boyfriend for how long, possibly even while we were dating. Is that true?" I ask with a raised eyebrow.
"Yes," she mumbles, looking down at her perfectly polished toe nails.
"See, that just proves you're not a true friend. And trust me, you probably need me more than I need you as a friend." I finish, stomping over to my car, slamming the key into the ignition and driving away.
••••••••••••••••••••
"That little bitch!" Raven explodes, pacing back and forth in my bedroom.
I invited her over right after I got back to my house and told her everything. She's pissed.
"Why would she even do that?! Does she have no self respect?" She rambles. I'm just sitting on my bed, listening to what she says hoping it'll make me feel better. I don't feel any better though. My best friend of at least 10 years just did one of the worst things a friend could do.
I'm not crying, and I didn't when it happened. I'm not letting those two effect me like that. I'm stronger than to let them bring me down.
"I don't even know. I'm just so confused on why she'd do that to me," I sigh, running a hand through my hair.
"I don't know, but you deserve so much better than that." Raven says, sitting beside me.
"Why does life need to be so complicated sometimes?" I ask to no one in general, leaning my head in her shoulder. "If I could answer that, I would," she sighs.
"But what I can tell you is that you can't sit around and mope. That'll only cause you to overthink and breakdown. We need to go out and do something to relive your anger." Raven tells me.
"Like what?" I ask.
"Hmm let's call up the Jack's, I have an idea." She smirks.
