Today is the day that Jack and I are going on our date. I'm honestly really nervous. I haven't been on a date in a really long time.
When Blake and I were dating, his idea of a date would be sitting in his room making out. Not exactly my idea of a date.
I made sure to ask Jack how I should dress and he told me semi formal, and to bring a change of comfortable clothes. So now I have some of the stress gone. I wanted to make sure not to be under dressed or over the top.
He didn't tell me where we were going though so I guess that's exciting. I know whatever it is, I'll have a great time because I'll be with him.
I've kind of come to the conclusion that I do indeed have feelings for him BUT I'm not going to rush into anything just because I realize I do like him. I'm pretty sure our feelings are mutual, we've both shown clear signs of that.
But the last thing is want to do is rush into a relationship, have it end up terribly ending, and then ruining our friendship.
I was going to call Raven over to help me out but she's working today and she also said something about hanging out with Johnson after her shift.
I really hope they end up dating. They're really cute and I can see that something is going on between them.
I start to get ready around 6:00, which left about an hour and a half to get ready. I took a shower earlier in the day so I luckily didn't have to do that.
I get started on my hair which I put into a very loose side French braid. It took me a few tries to get it to how I wanted, but in the end it looked great.
For my makeup I just bronzed up my skin and did a bronzed eyeshadow look as well and made my eyelashes pop.
Then for my outfit, I chose to wear I white cropped halter top with lace detailing, black and white flowy pants and a black fedora hat.
I check the time once I'm finished getting ready and it's 7:15. Jack said he'd be here to pick me up around 7:30 so I just walk around the house to try and kill time.
I remember that I need to bring money just in case so I run back upstairs and grab $40.
I hear my phone ding so I pull it out of my purse to see who texted me.

Yeah! I'm ready ☺️

I don't reply, since he's probably driving so I just go in the living room and wait.

"Hey Jack," I greet him, opening the door for him to come inside.
"Hi Niomi. You look amazing," he compliments.
"Oh, thanks! You look spectacular as well," I smile.
"I try," he grins. "You ready to go on our little adventure?" He asks me. "Yup! Let me just grab my change of clothes really quick," I say going back into the living room and grabbing my duffle bag.
"Alrighty! Let's do this," I tell Jack, locking the door once we're both outside.
Jack politely opens the car door for me and I thank him before he gets in his seat.
"How was your day at work?" I ask him as he pulls out of the drive way. "Eh, it was pretty good I guess. How was your day?" He answers. "Pretty laid back. Slept in late which is always a great thing," I laugh.
