(Picture of who I picture Niomi as is above)
"Welcome to- oh hey Jack!" an employee greets. "Hey Raven!" Jack greets her, giving her a hug.

Once they pull away, she notices me and gives me a kind smile. "Hi, I'm Raven." She extends her hand for me to shake. "I'm Niomi, nice to meet you," I smile shaking her hand.

"Same to you. So do you guys need help with anything?" She asks. "Yeah, I'm actually looking for a job and was wondering how I'd apply and everything." I tell Raven.

"Oh! The manager is in the back, I'll tell her you're here to apply." She tells me, jogging to the back of the store.

Moments later she comes back with a guy that only looks a little older than Jack, Raven, and I.

"Hello, I heard you're looking for a job here, I'm Chad." He introduces himself. "Hi, I'm Niomi." I say, smiling at him. "Pleasure to meet you, Niomi." He smiles. "Same to you," I respond.

"So, to apply for this job you'll just need to fill out these papers so we know your information and why you think you'd be good for the job. Then once you return these back to me, I'll look them over and give you a call as soon as I can." He explains. "You can follow me to the back and I'll get the papers ready for you," he says, leading me to the back.

After a couple minutes of rummaging through a file cabinet, he hands me a Manila folder with my job application.

"Thank you so much. I'll get this back to you as soon as I can," I tell him.

"No problem, see you soon. Have a great day." He tells me. "Same to you," I smile, walking back over to Jack and Raven.

"Alrighty, I got the paper work," I tell them. "Awesome! I know you'll get the job. Not a ton of people have been applying and Chad's a chill dude. As long as you're not a complete weirdo and you're willing to do the work, he'll hire you," Raven tells me.

"That's nice to know. My parents are sort of forcing me to get a job." I laugh lightly. "Awe I totally understand. It's nice working here though. For the most part the other employees are pretty cool too," she chuckles.

"Let's just hope everything works out," I grin.

"Well, Niomi and I are going to get going. I'll see you later." Jack tells Raven. "Alrighty, enjoy your day," she says to both of us. We thank her and wish her the same before walking out of the store.

"You hungry?" Jack asks me as we walk through the mall. "I ate before I came here but if you want to eat, I'm down." I laugh. "Ok, is Aunty Anne's good?" Jack asks me. "Of course!" I respond. "To Auntie Annes then!" Jack proclaims.

"I swear these pretzels are like heaven on earth," Jack sighs as he takes another but out of his pretzel. "Ugh I know, they're amazing," I agree.

"I wish I could make my own pretzels like this," he says. "I'm sure they have recipes online," I suggest. "Yeah, but that's too much work," he whines " I'd have to look up the recipe, print it, buy the shit, then cook it," he complains.

"Oh my god, you're so lazy." I laugh, shaking my head at him.

"Never said I wasn't," he smirks.

"Whatever," I mumble, playfully rolling my eyes.

"Attitude missy," Jack says with a mock warning tone.

"Don't call me that," I narrow my eyes at him.

"Oh yeah, what are you going to do about it?" He tests me.

"I'll beat your ass," I tell him.

"I'd like to see you try," he scoffs.

"Aye, I'm a lot stronger than I look," I defend.

"Ok," he says, obviously not believing me.

I don't respond, I just straight face the crap out of him and he does the same. We stay like that for a good minute before bursting into laughter.

After a couple more hours of walking around the mall and doing some shopping for ourselves, Jack and I decide to head back to our houses.

"So what do your parents do?" I ask him.

"They both have similar jobs. Both of which I honestly don't really know what it is exactly that they do. They do go on a lot of business trips though." He tells me. "Which kind of confused me because my mom and dad tell me how they can't pay for my college education but can go on all these trips. I don't know," he sighs.

"Hmm, well if the trips are work related maybe they're payed for by the work?" I suggest.

"Yeah, I guess that's probably what it is." He says, sounding like he doesn't want to talk about it anymore.

"I think my parents are working late tonight... Do you want to come over and watch movies or something?" I ask.

"Sure, let's just drive by my place so I can change into something more comfortable," he grins.

"Ok," I say.
