Jack and I made it to Chicago to start packing things up for me to move. Dad and some of his family came over to help. Dad pulled me away to my room to talk to me. "Savannah, you need to tell your mom that you are moving before you leave," he explained,

I sat down on my bed. "We are going over tonight; the close family will be there. Then I tell them, and I'm not letting them stop me this time, dad, I will not let them." I clarified.

Dad brought me in for a hug. "I know I met Jack a couple of days ago, but I know he is going to keep my little girl safe." he whispered, and I smiled, "he did when I was on tour with him," I replied, then laughed and smiled up at him. Dad let go and looked confused. "You always told me that it was 1% that I would ever date the boy, but here we are. I am moving to new york for him." I laughed, and he shook his head.

"You are taking a big risk, but you always do," he laughed, and we went back to the living to help pack. There were many boxes full of stuff and bag of things to give away. Dad and my family said their goodbyes and offered to drop the bags off at a donation place for me which I thanked them for.

Jack cleaned up some trash as I packed some small objects off shelves. "I can't believe it; you will live in New York for two more days." Jack confessed, and I turned around and walked over to him "it feels like a dream; every day does." I confessed.

"This isn't a dream, not even close to it," Jack lightly kissed and hugged me. Then, we pulled away and looked into each other's eyes.

"I love you," I whispered,

"I love you too, to the moon and back." I kissed his lips once again before continuing what we were doing. "Remember to dress nice," I reminded him, and Jack nodded; "of course, that pink frosting came out of that shirt I wore for your birthday." He told me.

"That's good because that's your only good dress shirt." I teased.

He scoffed, "someone is being rude today," I rolled my eyes at him, and he laughed

"oh please, you are the same way," I remarked, and it was his turn to roll his eyes.

"Continue working," Jack mumbled as he tied the trash bag. "I'm taking the trash out; I'll be back," Jack walked out of the apartment. I placed the last thing in the box and plopped on the sofa. This could be wrong or smooth;

My mom was angry with me when I went on tour with a rock star. Then the tattoo happened, and now I introduce my boyfriend to everyone and tell them I moved away to stay with him. Yeah, that sounds great to tell your family after not talking to them for weeks.

The apartment's door opened and closed; "if things go bad at your mom's place, we can leave and come back here and get comfy, watch movies and get takeout as we did at my place." Jack explained as he put a new trash bag in the bin. I didn't respond; I closed my eyes as Jack walked around the apartment.

"Jack, quit doing work and give yourself a break, please," I mumbled.

He groaned, "you know I can't do that," I sat up and looked at him; he walked over,

"go get around for your mom's," Jack told me, and I stood up from the couch.

"You quit cleaning and take a break." I pointed at him, and he moved my hand away.

"'No promises," I giggled and walked to my bedroom, which was a mess; I changed into a tan long sleeve turtle neck dress. I put on a pair of flat short black boots. I looked in the mirror and sighed; this could go so wrong.

Jack walked in and looked through his suitcase until he pulled out his clothes and got changed; I walked into my bedroom bathroom that I was going to miss, but I wasn't going to pay so much in new york.

Jack's phone rang, and he answered it "hello?" he greeted and stood there for a second "yeah, we are about to leave. She's right here," Jack smiled and put the phone on speaker.

"hey Sav, it's Ryan; I know that you are scared to tell your mom the news, but if they give you any shit, just fuck them cause if they accept that you want to start over, then leave and forget about them because we accept what you want to do and we all love you," he explained, and I smiled, Jack handed me the phone.

"damn, Ryan, I need to hear that," I confessed,

"Well, we all are cheering you on over here at home," everyone was cheering in the background. I held back tears as I knew where I belonged, I always thought I would always live in Chicago, but it changes when you know where you belong. "I'm going to let you go and call us when you leave; we want to hear about it." Jack took his phone, "we will; I might record; I'll let you know." Jack joked, and they laughed, "ok, bye," Ryan said and hung up. I sighed and rubbed my temples, and we had to leave to go to the house I grew up in.

We pulled in front of the house and opened our doors, "well, here we go," I mumbled, and Jack heeled me out of the car. "You know, if you know, we can leave whenever you want," Jack explained.

"yeah, I know, just scared," I whispered, and Jack brought me in for a hug, "I will be next to you if they try to start anything," Jack comforted me and let go of me. We walked up to the front door, and I grabbed the door handle "we can turn back now if you want?" Jack said and squeezed my hand, "no, I want to do this; I need to do this, " and opened the door. We walked into the living room to my mom and stepdad sitting with my grandparents, aunt, and uncles.

My sister was in the kitchen cooking as we walked in more; everyone looked at us, "took you long enough," my stepdad mumbled as I rolled my eyes at him "sorry, we were busy," I replied, and family came over and greeted us "so you are Jack," grandpa asked and shook his hand; Jack nodded "flesh and bones sir," Jack joked, and some laughed.

"So Savannah, what have you been so busy lately?" my mom asked,

I gulped and looked at Jack, "I'm moving to New York, so Jack and I don't have to do long distances." I explained, and everyone gasped at my words "when was this" mom asked, and I looked at Jack, who was trying to hide a grin "on my birthday, Jack surprised me with the question." I told them all.

Mom stood up and walked over to me, "let's have a private chat." she grabbed my arm and pulled me to the hallway. I was fighting in her grip; only she had a firm hand on me, so I gave up on fighting.

"savannah, what the hell in the right mind made you think it was okay to move to a different state to a guy that you had barely been dating," mom spat at me.

"I trust jack; I want to get away from this life here and be with the people that make me happy," I shouted; she glared at me with anger.

"He's going to act as if he loves you, but in the end, he is going to find someone better than you, Savannah, and he is going to leave in the end, Just like Fred did so when he does, don't come running back here when he does because I told you so," she shouted. I held tears back as she pointed out one of my biggest fears.

"you don't know the real Jack, mom; you only know him as a famous person; he is nothing like you think he is." I was defeated, and she scoffed at me.

"it's all for the show; he acting like he is because he only wants one thing from you, and then he leaves you when you let him in your pants," she yelled,

"fuck you," I screamed and walked away from her; I walked down the hall and back to the living room, where Jack stood up and held his hand out for me "we're leaving," I whispered. He nodded, I took his hand, and we walked over to the door "this is my goodbye," I yelled, and Jack opened the door for me, and we left and walked to the car.

"I'm so proud of you," Jack kissed my hand as he helped me in the car; I gave him a light smile, and he returned it and shut my car door. He got in on the driver's side, started the car, and drove away from the house that I would never step foot in again.
