Chapter 2: Beginning Adventures (REWRITTEN)

Timeskip to a few years of Saito living in Grigori. He is now around the ages of 10 years old.

Living in Grigori was now as bad as Saito thought it would be. In fact, he believed that it was much better than living the the human world. Many places to travel around the underworld was rather enjoyable for a little boy like him. Even though Azazel was not around most of the time, Saito was still much very entertained in living in his new home along with his new brother? It took awhile for Vali to even talk to Saito as he was much of a loner kid but managed to get used to Saito's presences around Grigori and even managed to chat with him.

Saito: "Mind if I join you?"

Vali was in the gym like usual, training by himself as he was repeatedly beating up a punching bag. He nodded as Saito smiled at Vali, placing his stuff down on a nearby bench as he began to stretch his arms, warming up his body.

Saito: "How about a quick dual? Just to test out our strengths... Are you down?"

Vali began to stop doing his punches as he turned at Saito with a smirk on his face, accepting the challenge as he began to crack his knuckles, warming himself up as he turned to Saito, raising his hands up into a fighting position. Saito chuckled as he was happy that Vali accepted his challenge as he began to lung towards Vali, aiming for his head but Vali managed to dodge his attack.

Vali then aimed at Saito's stomach, hitting him hard to knock him down but not fully to tire Saito out. Saito immediately got up and began to draw blows with Vali again. They continue to swing and through attacks at one another, shaking the whole gym as their fighting was getting a bit too intense for the two to handle so they decided to take a short break. They were both sitting on the bench, drinking some cold water and laughing for a little.

Saito: "So... Vali. Why do you train all the time? You always train in the morning but for what exactly?"

Vali dropped his water bottle, wiping his mouth with his sleeve as he turned his gaze at Saito.

Vali: "Easy, Have you heard who Great Red is? I want to defeat him and kill him... He is my main enemy."

Saito: "Great Red? You mean the apocalyptic dragon? The one who can defeat whole dimensions with just the sound of his roar?"

Vali: "I'm surprised you know about him. You aren't as stupid as I thought you were." Vali laughed which triggered Saito a bit as his anger started to increase. Saito's inner self was telling him to punch Vali but his other half was way too curious and decided to just ask questions instead.

Saito: "Alright so, why do you want to kill Great Red? Do you have a grudge against him or something?"

Vali: "Actually no. I heavily respect him. Just the fact that he is the most powerful beings in this universe... I want to test my strength to my fullest potential...I don't want to be counted as the "failure" who didn't stand a chance."

Vali began to wipe the remaining sweat on his face before he got up from the bench, walking towards the exit door before he turned back at Saito.

Vali: "Good luck on your training. You need it severely."

Vali began to open the door and left, leaving Saito all alone with 100 questions left in his head. Let's be honest, Vali wasn't the most stable kid in the world, nor does this sound unfamiliar since Vali would often say things that make no sense or something a "regular" kid would say.

Saito decided to leave the gym as he was too confused to continue training, as Saito left the gym room, the sound of teleportation can be heard as a portal appeared on the ground and Azazel began to appear, coming back from the mortal world. It was not common for Azazel to go to the mortal world and goes there pretty often but doesn't really explain "why" to Saito or Vali. Saito was always curious on what the mortal world is like, Azazel told Saito that he was originally from the mortal world but Saito barely remembered even going to the mortal world nor living in it.
