Midoriya had been left to fend for himself against Shigaraki. He had been running and trying to shoot him for what felt like hours. When Tokage found him, she split apart, and Shigaraki was pelted by bits of rubble. Midoriya took cover. Tetsutetsu, Neon and Flynt saw him and came to help. Flynt used his trumpet to blast away Shigaraki, which worked very well. Neon got very close to the disoriented villain, using her glow stick nun chucks to do some damage. She made the smart choice of bolting when he tried to grab her tail. Flynt blasted him again. Midoriya made it behind Shigaraki, planning to perform a Delaware smash. When he did, Shigaraki went flying forward, almost destroying Tetsutetsu. Tokage blocked him with a piece of her arm, which disintegrated. Tokage reformed next to Midoriya, with the bit of her arm slowly starting to form back.

"It's fine. Good job." She assured him.

Shigaraki got up to face Midoriya. Tokage split, trying to distract Shigaraki again. Shigaraki continued to approach, despite Flynt blasting him back a few feet. Midoriya tried another Delaware smash, but Shigaraki dodged it completely.

"He's onto us!" Neon shouted.

Midoriya tried to get away and Shigaraki started to charge. There was a boulder blocking Midoriya's path. Shigaraki reached for Midoriya's face. When he was just a few feet away, Midoriya was saved by some feathers pulling the villain back.

"You okay, buddy?" Hawks, the number 2 hero, asked.

Shigaraki had already gotten free of the feathers.

"He's after me." Midoriya said.

"Well, that's a shame."

Hawks grabbed Midoriya and flew up to the roof. When they landed, Midoriya could see dozens of pro heroes coming in and finishing the fights.

"He'll be apprehended by someone that's broken far less bones. We captured Kurogiri a few days ago, they've got no escape."

Midoriya sighed a breath of relief. Despite the tragedy, at least it was going to be over. Mt Lady appeared and took Midoriya to the ground, promising to get all his friends out. He found Asui and Uraraka standing over a stretcher close by.

"Uraraka! Asui!" He cried out.

Uraraka looked up. She was crying but smiled when she saw him.

"Deku! I'm so glad you're alright!" She said, running over and hugging him.

Asui joined in, also crying.

He looked at the stretcher. Ida was on it, eyes closed.

"What happened to Ida?" Midoriya asked, dreading the answer.

"We... we were fighting Stain together... then someone from Haven academy... I think it was Mercury, the kid that got his leg punched off... Well, he appeared out of nowhere and shot Ida in the back with his foot." Uraraka explained tearfully.

Midoriya went up to his friend. There was no pulse. Midoriya started to cry as well, unable to cope. Uraraka hugged him again. The three friends mourned their loss. But they had to calm down for a little while to help. More and more students were being evacuated, and most of them needed medical attention. Midoriya helped to splint a leg, then sling an arm. Uraraka was bandaging wounds, and Asui was helping people that had been burned. Kacchan appeared, muttering incoherently with a bloody forehead. Kendo was carrying him, and set him down before heading back in. Midoriya helped to wrap up his head and then went back to helping other students. He saw Blake and Sun come out of the barrier, carrying Yang.

"Just tell me what happened!" Sun asked.

As they set Yang down, Midoriya saw her left arm was gone. Asui ran over to start bandaging the mess. Blake grabbed some bandages and wrapped them around her side.

"You can't just walk out of a room with a stab wound and not tell anyone what happened!" Sun continued.

"Shut up!" Blake yelled.

She threw the remaining bandages down. Then she started to run away.

"Wait!" Sun yelled, running after her.

Midoriya watched them round a corner. He wanted to go after them, but he was distracted by more students coming that needed medical attention.
