White Rose and the Bumble Bee

Chapter 5

~POV Yang~

Blake leads me into the now noisy cafeteria, filled with students that were waiting anxiously for Saturday.  Blake sat us at our usual spot across the table from team JNPR. I could see Nora and Ren walking through the pancake and waffle line, they waved and motioned for us to get something, so I grabbed Blake's hand and dragged her to the line. I grabbed two trays and handed one to Blake.

  Blake grabbed bacon sausage and a waffle, while I grabbed bacon, eggs, and muffins along with a few strawberries and an apple. We then walked over to the table and saw Ruby and Weiss in line grabbing piles of food and placing it on their plates. when they set their plates on the table I swear the table bounced. "Whoa, going a little ham there lil sis? " I motioned to the bacon, "Eh eh?" No one laughed and Nora threw an apple my way but I caught it this time. She crossed her arms and said, "Nice." She took a huge bite out of her pancake and gobbled down some bacon as well. Ruby of course had sugar coated everything and was also gobbling everything in her path. Ren was on his scroll talking to Jaune who was in the bathroom asking for advice on what to do with Pyrrha, for their date, "I don't know, I think she'll be happy with what ever you do with her." I could hear Jaune. "Look I have to go I can hear her calling me. See you."

Ren sighed, "He can't understand how long Pyrrha has been waiting for this and he thinks he'll screw it up." I looked at my scroll seeing the time was only 7:30 am and we still had three hours to class. Blake saw how bored I was and started out, "Let's go do something on campus. Like a walk or something." Nora pointed at Cardin pulling Velvet's ears once again. I could feel the heat flying out of my body and though Ruby, Blake, and Weiss tried to hold me back, it was to late. I threw my body across the room and punched Cardin in the gut , before picking him off the ground, " Do you think making fun of someone is funny", I tightened my grip, "Because Cardin, I don't. If I see you make fun of one more Faunas or human I will rip you limb from limb, got it?" He nodded as I threw him roughly to the ground, grabbing Velvet's hand and leading her to our table . I sighed and leaned down to her, "If anyone makes fun of you like that again, I'll kill them, okay? Just tell me." She nodded hugging me around the waist, "Thanks Yang I appreciate that." I nodded pleased at my rescue.

Blake stared at me as though she had thanked me with her eyes. I knew why I had done what I did. I saw Velvet being made fun of and though it was annoying I learned why Blake was upset, and that was because she too was a Faunus. I saw it as though Blake was Velvet, and it gave me more importance. I knew Blake saw me better now and I slowly left the cafeteria.
