Maybe she's just out of her mind?

Don't get this on the wrong foot, Amber really felt connected with the person across her screen. She missed being talk-active with many people before everyone was nowadays plain busy. Because they got work, have to go somewhere, or any excuses. Mentally drained, she started talking with a guy as of recently. It may have been months ago but they knew each other for years. Maybe two years already, but they would occasionally make a sentence or two only. With her friend Bella having to change her social statuses every day on Instagram and is strictly busy with her own world. Amber couldn't say the same for herself, she was just alone and lonely.

Besides laying on her bed all day being less productive and scrolling through posts of cute drawings, nothing was appealing anymore for the brunette. A message pinged, she quickly shifted at the late drowsy boy who probably dozed off or took a nap. She got up and opened her pc - logging into an app called Discord and awaited. She immediately joined the call once it first rang, staying silent as she could hear shuffling noises.  "Uhhhhhhhhh-" that familiar voice she knew so well, the person behind it making a raspy groan. Chuckling at it slightly, watching them through their camera that he had turned on. "Oh hey Fire!" he yipped, his mood completely changing. "Hey, Otter." Amber gently said. Despite not meeting in real life, they've gotten to see each other's faces yet never said their actual names. However the girl doesn't show her face much for personal reasons.

"How are ya? Have you eaten yet?" Otter asked, furrowing his eyebrows with his questions. "I have, did you?" she replied, crossing her arms and leaning back into her comfy chair. The other nervously chuckled and ranted off with something to change the topic "Uhhhh- oh hey look!" he quickly said, eyes beaming in his screen as he sent something in their direct messages, shorter name would be dms.

Amber giggled at the thing Otter had sent, it was a video of a cat breakdancing. "Aww, look at it go. So cute!" she said, now directly looking at the eyes on the other side of the screen which he felt shivers in his spine. "Don't change the subject. Did you eat?"

Gulping, he scratched his nape. "UH- well- n-not really? Like a yes but no but yes and no? I don't know if that even makes any sense uhm!" he ranted, scratching his cheek slightly and looked at the other way. "Hey, don't work yourself over. If you didn't get enough to eat, maybe grab a few snacks and water? I'll wait."

"W-w-w-w-w-w-weh?" oh how adorable he flusters, Otter is known to stutter quite a lot when some words were difficult for him to pronounce and when taken by surprise. But Amber takes her patience, always listening until he finishes and never making such bad remarks at his flaws. What could she say, she likes being with him a lot. Even when he's in a complete different country for vacation right now, which does not bother her in the slightest bit. Not at all.

"You positive on it?" "Yeh, I'll log in that game you want me to play right now if you do." He ran out of the room, Fire giggling to herself silently at his cute antics. She was really fond of the boy.

"I GOT WAFFLE BISCUITS!" he threw on the desk, and then it fell. He picked it up and bonked his head underneath the desk. Twice in a roll. "You okay there Otty?" "Physically and technically no, I think I just became dumber." scratching the spot where it got hit, Otty made a big grin. "I got waffle biscuit!!"

Titan, my heart.
