Scarlet stood in front of the mirror, gently fluffing her hair as her girlfriend finished up in the restroom.

The two made plans to do stroll through the park today, since the weather was so lovely. It was a crisp spring day, with the promise of fair weather all day.

Mary exited the bathroom, tying her bonnet over her hair.

"Hey gorgeous," Scarlet said, turning around to face her, "Ready to go?"

"Of course.. I'm just...nervous." Mary timidly admitted, "What if Gustav sees us?"

"Then he can take a hike." Scarlet said proudly, planting a gentle kiss upon her girlfriend's forehead.

Mary couldn't help but blush at the kind gesture. It had been too long since she felt real romantic love, and she intended to preserve this feeling as long as possible.

"If you say so, dear." Mary responded, offering her a meek smile.

Scarlet offered her arm to Mary, who happily accepted it.  The two then exited Scarlet's house, with Scarlet locking the door behind them.

The two then began their stroll, walking down the street towards the park. As the cars lazily drove by, the two made lovely conversation. Talking about the silly nothing's of the world, when it was with Mary, was the best thing that could pass the time for Scarlet.

Scarlet enjoyed how many things seemed to catch Mary's attention. She noted that next time, she should bring a bag for Mary to collect little nick-nacks.

Soon, the two made it to the Park. It was gorgeous, the flowers being all in blood and the sun shining down from the heavens. The two lovers made their way down the path, looking around at the park's magesty.

Suddenly, Scarlet stopped.

"is something wrong, dear?" Mary asked.

"it's the factory district, love!" Scarlet exclaimed, pointing off to the distance.

"Isn't that where you said your husband used to work before he passed?" Mary asked.

"yep! Over there, a bit north of the can tab!" Scarlet said.

"Can..tab?" Mary couldn't help but voice her confusion.

Scarlet chuckled a bit, wrapping her arm around her lover.

"That's right, doll! It looks like a tab to a can of beer, doesn't it?"

"well, sure it does. I just wasn't expecting you to call it that." Mary sheepishly admitted.

"It's alright, hun. I promise." Scarlet reassured her, planting a kiss on her cheek. Mary chuckled a bit, gently shoving Scarlet away for a moment.

"Your husband never let you over there either?" Mary asked.

"Nope," Scarlet giggled a bit, "Always claimed it was for 'Low-Lives'. Considering he worked there, I couldn't agree more."

"Scarlet Annenberg!" Mary exclaimed,  raising her hand to her mouth in shock. "You behave yourself! Don't speak like that!"

Scarlet raised her hands up defensively, laughing as Mary shoved her and turned away for a second.

"You're awful, dear." Mary said, a smile forming on her face.

"You love me for it." Scarlet stepped over and wrapped her arms around Mary's waist, resting her chin on her shoulder.

"Of course I do. And you are lucky for that." Mary placed her hands atop Scarlet's.

"Of course I'm lucky. I've got a lady like you in my arms." Scarlet mused, closing her eyes and chuckling.

"Come along, dear. We still have the rest of the park to look at." Mary insisted, pulling Scarlet's arms away and starting to walk away.

Scarlet followed, taking her by the hand.
