"Will you Marry me?"

It was a crisp fall day, and Mary and Scarlet were on a walk through the park. Mary had assumed it was just to pass the time, but Scarlet had a special purpose in mind for this walk. This park was the same one the two had gone to many times when they were still in the early stages of their relationship, so it was a very special place for the two lovers. And that was specifically why scarlet chose this place over many others for this.

The two made their way to the bench and sat down, with Mary distracted by the colorful leaves of fall. Scarlet watched her for a moment before checking her own purse, making sure the special thing she brought was still there. After confirming to herself that it was, she taps mary on the shoulder to get her attention.

"Hm??" Mary turned to face Scarlet.

"Hun...can we talk about something?"

"Oh, sure! What's on your mind?"

"well..." Scarlet began, taking Mary's hands in hers, "Lately, i've been thinking of some things...and I wanted to ask you a very important question."

"Oh, of course! Ask away!"

Scarlet takes a deep breath and gets down on one knee in front of Mary.

"Mary, will you marry me?"

Mary's bright blue eyes lit up and a blush filled her face.

"Oh get up, scarlet! We're pretty much married already!" She giggled.
"No- I mean like...in a church, Married..In front of God, Married.." Scarlet said, making Mary gasp slightly.

"really?"

"Of course, Dear..." Scarlet said before quickly reaching into her purse and pulling out the special item she brought, a simple engagement ring.
Mary teared up a bit, a bright smile filling her face. She raised her hand to her mouth, laughing a bit as a tear fell down her face.
"So...what's your answer?" Scarlet asked.

"Yes! yes yes yes!!!" Mary exclaimed, practically pouncing on Scarlet and hugging her tight.

The two lovers laughed as they held each other, basking in the delight of their newly produced engagement.
