Mary held Scarlet's arm nervously as the two walked towards the street party. It had started a few hours earlier and was roaring with life.

"I've never been to one of these before.." Mary admitted sheepishly, with Scarlet chuckling in response.

"You'll have a good time, I'll make sure of it." Scarlet kissed the top of Mary's head, pulling her close.

When they got to the party, the two stepped off to the side to put their stuff down, and Scarlet was quickly whisked aside by a few of her friends.

Mary sat down on one of the chairs, looking around at the people dancing and listening to the music. It was unlike what Mary was used to, hearing talk of a song writer called "Prince" that confused her a lot.

Soon though, as a slow love song began to play, Mary saw Scarlet rush over, grabbing Mary by the hands.

"I love this song! Let's dance!"

"D..dance?"

"Yea, dance! Together!"

Scarlet pulled Mary onto the floor, wrapping her arms around her. Mary rested her head on Scarlet's shoulder, the two gently swaying to the songs beat. Mary slowly raised her arms and wrapped them around Scarlet's shoulders, pulling her closer.

"This is lovely.." Mary mumbles, with Scarlet giving her a peck on the cheek.

"It is. I promise, I'll take you to more of these. Some of these parties even have alcohol." Mary chuckled after Scarlet said that, nuzzling closer.

The two danced through the rest of the song, with the next song being a bit more up tempo.

"How do I dance to this?" Mary asked nervously, looking up at her lover.

"Just follow my lead!" Scarlet began to dance, her red dress almost glowing in the streetlights.

Mary slowly began to follow suit, quickly catching on to Scarlet's moves and even making up her own.

Time seemed to fly by as the night grew. More and more people joined the party and Mary soon felt her nervousness slip away. Soon, it was Mary pulling Scarlet up onto the floor for "one more dance, I promise!".

After a while, the two had to admit their sleepiness, and began to long walk back to Scarlet's place. Gustav was going to be on a week long hunting trip with a few of his work friends, and Mary practically spent every waking moment at Scarlet's home.

Scarlet's home felt more like a home to her than her own house. She felt likes guest in her home, but not at Scarlet's.

"How about this dear," Scarlet said as the two entered her house, "I know a few...special dance moves I can show you up in my room.."
