45 minutes later...
We finished with our experiment and we passed, even though I did ninety six percent of the work. Well at least this time he wasn't on his phone the whole time, just cluelessly trying to help at least.
I packed my books first before Kendricks did and left the class. I hope by this, he would finally get it that I don't like to breathe the same air as him. I got to my locker and dumped all the heavy chemistry books inside before two girls approached me. One of them was... Chloe Levon.
She must be obsessed with pink or something. Still hasn't moved on from her nine year old barbie girl era. Even nine year olds know better.
"Umm hi. Do you need anything?", I asked leaning against my locker clearly confused.
She scanned me from head to toe while chewing gum so awfully loud it was disgusting to the thought that it was possible that one of the particles of her saliva would land on my face.
"So you're the new bitch who's trying to steal my man", Chloe stated.
"I'm sorry, what? Which man?"
"My Kenny". Obviously why am I even asking? It makes sense.
"Wow, chill. He's all yours, I don't want him, I don't want anything to do with him" I wish I could take a step back because she was getting closer and the saliva chance was getting higher.
"Good. This is just a warning", she said taking out the gum in her mouth and sticking it on my locker.
Bloody hell.
Rule number 2, after avoiding Kendricks rule: Don't associate with her at all costs even on my death bed.
After that, I went to have lunch with Amelia because I had no other plans with any other person.
When I was done, I went over to the chess club. I promised myself that I would engage in social activities when I joined this school.5 minutes later...
Looks like I don't have a partner again.
Oh, not again.
Why is he here? It can't be possible that we have the same interests.
I got up naturally as if I never meant to be here in the first place until Kendricks called out to me forcing me to sit down and act like I was not going to leave.
"What are you doing here, Kendricks?", I sighed while rubbing my forehead because I could feel a headache kicking through."Let's play one game"
I don't want to. I don't know how to. I don't want to be here anymore.
"I thought guys like you are into basketball, partying and so on. I thought thinking makes your brain hurt"
"Let's play one game"
He's confusing
For some reason, my heart was pounding.
I may be academically smart but,
"I don't know how to play chess. I'm still learning""How much do you know?", he asked taking his seat in front of me.
"The pieces. I know the pieces. My mom called for me outside, Kendricks"
"Okay, how about I teach you some tricks?", he asked
"I guess"
About twenty five minutes into the little lesson, we decided to play an actual match.
It was my turn to make a move. I gave him a quick glace and smirked. I moved the rook piece blocking him for the third time in a row "Check"
