Yoongi is not okay. It's been a long time since he hasn't been a okay really, but right now he's definitely and completely not okay.
And the main reason being for Jungkook's little story on his interaction with Jimin.
No, Yoongi's anything but okay.
He's over the fucking moon.
"OH GOD HE ACCEPTED YOU! Don't fuck with me - I really thought he was going to reject you because of your shitty attitude but look at that! There's hope for me after all-"
"Yoongi, did you literally not register what I just said," Jungkook snaps, dumbfounded by his friend's reaction while he towel dries his hair after a shower, "He wants to have sex with me, intercourse. That was the deal."
"That's even better! You can fuck him into submission and then he's going to listen to you-"
"Dude are you hearing yourself?" Jungkook huffs in annoyance, throwing his towel on his bed before grabbing a shirt to put on, "I'm not going to force any type of submission on him! I hope you know damn well that I'm doing this for you."
"And not for yourself?" Yoongi taunts, twitching a grin while he sits on the couch just as Jungkook exit his bedroom, "I'm sure Taehyung will be a little pouty once he hears about how you're dating one of his exes."
Jungkook grimaces and sits on the couch beside him, ruffling through his mild wet hair with his fingers, "He doesn't even see that time as a relationship by how quick it ended, and it was in 11th grade," The ravenette mutters, recalling having that conversation with Taehyung before, "Whatever, not like he'll give a shit either way."
Yoongi rolls his eyes and plops back on the couch, laying his feet on Jungkook's legs, "Oh trust me, he will. Can I be the one to tell him!"
"No."
"Element of surprise, got it!" Yoongi giggles, eyes closed now as he rests peacefully on the pillow, "You're going to get your Taehyung and I will get my Jimin back. This is perfect. You're such a good friend Kook. I know you will do good in convincing him."
There's a pause where Jungkook just stares at Yoongi, unable to believe how head strong about he is about this stupid plan to get Jimin back. This comes to further prove that he's not really in love as he wants to believe himself to be, but just obsessed.
He wants to be with Jimin so bad, no matter the cost or to what length it may lead.
And that alone is concerning.
Sure, maybe Jungkook would like to get back with Taehyung and all, but he's not going to use Jimin for that - no matter how badly Yoongi tries to make that as a point for him, no matter how much he wants Taehyung's attention. The main and only reason he's even doing this is more so because he wants to get Jimin back for dating Yoongi and ending things that badly that had his best friend unable to move on even after two years.
Jimin destroyed Yoongi, now having him be all Yoongi knows and desires for.
That's what's frustrating.
And Jungkook doesn't want there to be another victim because of this stupid game.
So he is going to try to persuade Jimin to try to hit it another go with Yoongi, no doubt about that, while making sure he shatters that color pallet to pieces.
Jungkook stares at Yoongi for a moment longer, seeing his delicate features in complete happiness, before he was unable to help but ask, "Yoongi.... Why Jimin?"
"Hm?"
"What do you see in Jimin? Why are you so hung up on him?"
"Why are you so hung up on Taehyung?"
This caught Jungkook by surprise, but he did manage to respond back after a bit of thought and consideration, "Well.... He's my ex, and it's not that easy moving on."
"Exactly," Yoongi snaps his fingers, his lazily smile still there, "Jimin's my ex, and it's not easy moving on. Yeah, maybe we dated only for a semester, but you don't know what we did or what we were like together. You were too caught up with Taehyung to notice, but we did click so well."
The memory of all Jimin's color palette flew Jungkook's mind, the choices, hesitantly but then asking his friend, "What color did you choose?"
Yoongi didn't say anything at first, but then he chuckles as though the memory caressed his mind fondly.
"Blue..... I chose blue."
Soft, silly, cuddly - Ah, that explains a lot.
Yoongi's ideal type is always someone much more softer and silly, since he has this idea of having a partner to take care of and smother with love. No doubt he chose blue, and seeing Jimin act the way Yoongi idealizes from someone - his perfect pair - no doubt he got hooked.
Of that Jimin.
That 1/8th of Jimin.
But not the real Jimin, who he never shows to anyone he's in a relationship with.
Yoongi likes paper Jimin, the idea of him, what he's shown to him, but his heart?
Probably too blinded to notice it.
How sad.
"Yoongi.... That Jimin isn't even him," Jungkook carefully points out, "It's a fictionalized side of him, and not entirely him. It's an act he's playing, just based on what you chose."
Now this made Yoongi frown, snapping his eyes to Jungkook with this accusing stare now that made Jungkook immediately take back what he just said, "I feel like that's the real side of him - You don't know shit, okay? You just been around him for less than two hours. I've been with him for a whole semester. A person can't always hold up a façade for that long."
Jungkook wanted to say something back in counter to that, but the last thing he wants to do right now is have an argument with Yoongi about Jimin's personality - Even though Jungkook knows he's right. Yoongi just doesn't want to accept that the person he's dating is fake.
Jimin clearly doesn't reveal his true side to just anyone, especially if it's someone who didn't pick that side of him to get to know or be with.
Who knows if Jimin was even playing along to one of those colors while him and Jungkook were together when they met.
One can never be too sure, but Jungkook is about to get to know all these colors perfectly well; know every speck of dust, spark of glitter and deepest depth of it it to touch the silver end.
Seeing all the true colors of Park Jimin by the end of the semester.
And hopefully by then, Jungkook will have him exactly where he wants him to be.
Unless.... Jimin has his way with him first.
