Klaus was worried about Caroline.
She hasn't gotten out of bed much at all, after what Damon said Klaus knew it must have really upset her.
Damon was an ass to Caroline, Klaus really just wanted to bite him and slowly watch as his wolf venom slowly killed him.
He had told Elijah he was trying to not kill him and really really wanted to.
He hated Damon just as much as Damon hated him.
But, he truly didn't understand why he hated Caroline.
She was so perfect, she had the prettiest smile, the warmest and kindest personality, her blue eyes sparkled when she was really happy, the way she always clasped her hands over her mouth when she was excited or shocked, Klaus loved everything about her.
Currently, she wasn't her usual happy and energetic self, she was depressed and unhappy and it honestly killed Klaus that she felt like this because of what Damon said.
Plus, she was pregnant and this wasn't good for the baby at all.
Klaus went to their shared room and sat down on the edge of the bed, noticing how Caroline didn't look up at all.
"Caroline" Klaus said and got her attention, watching as she barely moved and didn't even say anything to him, her skin was turning grey as she was desiccating from not drinking.
"Come on love talk to me." Klaus got closer and pushed a strand of her long blonde hair back out of her face.
"Maybe Damon's right." Is all she said, she sounded tired, like she had been crying for days, her voice hoarse and scratchy like she hasn't had anything to drink at all.
Which is exactly the case, she wasn't drinking whatsoever.
Klaus has offered her blood bags, humans, and even his own blood but she refused it all.
"You know he's not, Damon is just an asshole and you shouldn't worry about him okay? He's just petty that Elena isn't ready for kids and you are." Klaus said and grabbed Caroline's - almost freezing hand, she was desiccating fast, and she didn't even care.
"Klaus why do you even love me?" Caroline looked at Klaus with the most heartbreaking look Klaus has ever seen.
"What?" Klaus was shocked, he didn't expect her to ask him that but all he knew is that once he got her better, he was going to kill Damon.
"Why do you love me?" Caroline asked again, slowly sitting up with the help of Klaus, her eyes were filled with tears as she asked.
"Caroline Forbes, I love you for so many reasons, why are you thinking like this?" Klaus saw the tears come loose and knew she was breaking down, he has never seen her this sad since her mother died.
"Would you be upset if i took my daylight ring off? Klaus, i don't think i can keep living like this, i miss my mom." Caroline said and held onto Klaus, crying into his shoulder.
Klaus tried to stay strong and comfort his girlfriend, but it was really hard seeing her like this, to the point where she didn't even want to live anymore.
"Shhh i know you do love, but i need you to stay strong, you have so much to live for. We still haven't gotten to see the world, you still haven't fulfilled your dreams of having a family of your own, Caroline if you give up now you'll never truly experience happiness." Klaus said with his voice breaking, he didn't even know he let his emotions get the best of him.
"I need you, Caroline." Klaus said and stroked her hair, kissing the top of her head as he shakily held her in his own arms, trying not to think about his life without Caroline.
Caroline continued to cry, trying to comprehend Klaus' words, he needed her?
"Klaus, you don't need me." Caroline said softly, shakily trying to breathe but it was getting hard.
"I do, you made me the best version of myself i never thought i could be, you've changed me for the better and without you i would still be the big and scary hybrid, Caroline Forbes you've changed because i love you so much and i know i don't say it enough but i do love you." Klaus said and watched as Caroline looked like she was thinking, maybe that's what she needed to hear, maybe she needed to hear how much Klaus loved her.
Caroline looked up at Klaus like she was hearing him speak for the first time, her lips curving into a very tiny smile.
"Klaus, i love you too." Caroline said, placing a very tiny kiss on his lips, he knew she was weak and needed blood now.
Klaus held out his wrist, Caroline looking at him like he was crazy.
"Drink. just until i can get you some fresh blood so we can replenish you faster." Klaus said, watching as Caroline slowly nodded, feeling Klaus get behind her, letting her lay on him because he knew how weak she was right now.
Klaus put his wrist up to her mouth, feeling her fangs sink in, feeling her small hands grab at his arm.
Klaus just let her drink until she had enough, pushing his wrist away watching as he healed quickly.
Caroline's grey skin faded away back into her normal pale skin, meaning she was replenished for the mean time.
"Thank you, i really don't know what i'd do without you, and i'm sorry what Damon said just really got to me and it's the only thing i could think about, i felt hopeless." Caroline said, looking up at Klaus when she felt his hand on her cheek.
"You don't have to apologize to me, you had every right to be upset, but please make sure you drink this time, you almost desiccated right in front of me." Klaus said and watched as Caroline nodded.
"I'm sorry, thank you for not giving up on me." Caroline said and watched as Klaus nodded and stood up.
"You don't have to thank me and i will be right back, i'm going to get some more blood bags and some fresh human blood for you." Klaus smiled before speeding off.
Caroline loved him so much, she was so thankful to start a family with him.
