Chapter 12

*Azariah POV*

I knew I couldn't live without Danny.

But I hope he understands why I did this.

To protect him, or at least that's what I keep telling myself.

Until after Frank is caught, he must keep away from me.

"Are you ok?" My brother comes into my room.

"Yea." I smile at him.

"No you're not." He looked at me. "I will tell you a secret if you tell me what's wrong."

"I hate you." I smack him.

"Ouch."

"I broke up with Danny." I sigh.

"What why?" I was surprised that Brandon was actually concerned. He hated Danny as far as I knew.

"To keep him safe." I shrugged.

"He WAS safe. You aren't safe Riah. He wanted to risk his safety for you."

"What ever Brandon..." I shove him. "Now you tell me."

"Alright. I am planning to tell mom and dad later..." He looked nervous.

"Go on!" I insisted.

"Azariah, I'm gay." He said.

"OMG I KNEW IT!" I screamed.

"How did you know?" He asked.

"Brandon, you set the vibe. Plus you let a crazed psycho jump out a window to help a dude up." That was why I smiled and laughed in the hospital.

He had whispered sorry into my ear and then I realized why he had done that.

"Damn, I have a smart sister." He smiled at me.

"Well, how about we go tell mom and dad."

"ARE YOU CRAZY?!" He screamed.

"You wanted to tell them. I will go with."

"Fine." He frowned.

"MOM! DAD!" I screamed as Brandon helped me down the stairs.

"Honey are you ok?" My mom came in worried, my father coming after.

"Yes but Brandon has something to tell you." I replied.

They both sat down, which is how I knew my father wasn't drunk. He was a whole different person when he was drunk.

"Alright, mom. Dad. Um." He tripped on his words.

"Just say it Brandon." I urged.

"IM GAY." He blurted out.

It was silent for a while.

"I see no problem with that." My mom states.

Another silence as we all stared at my father.

"Me neither." He says.

I was taken aback.

"Um Dad, do you have something to tell us?" I asked.

"I do actually."

"Please go on honey." My mom says.

"I know I have made mistakes in the past, recently, but I want to change. No more alcohol for me. I don't want to lose any of you.... Also Brandon told me about everything Riah." He glanced around and his gaze landed on me.

"Oh great." I reply.

"I know this doesn't make up for anything I've done before. But hopefully we can be a nice family now." He looks down.

"Well I forgive you." I state.

Everyone stares at me.

"What?" I ask.

"I think I speak for everyone hear when I ask you, how could you forgive me after a year of me hurting everyone around me?" My dad asks.

"Because you are family, and it wasn't your fault that we were threatened by Frank, it was mine." I reply.

"If she can forgive you, then so can I." My mom says.

"If you can change that quickly, and except me for me, then hell I can too." Brandon says.

I knew it was going to be a hard change, but I had a feeling that this was going to be better now.

*Danny POV*

I arrived at school, since I had no reason to stay home anymore, and I finally noticed the atmosphere had changed.

I had been so consumed with Azariah that I completely forgot about my rep and my friends.

"Where's your girlfriend, Dan?" Asks my best friend Connor.

"What girlfriend?" I reply.

"I see." He replies.

"I haven't talked to you for a while Con." I state.

"Yea, you haven't, but we've been best friends for, well ever." He says, which makes me cuss myself out because I hadn't thought twice about leaving him in the dust.

"I'm sorry Con..."

"All is forgiven man, but everyone is iffy about you now." He motioned to the stares.

"I was hanging out with a nobody, why wouldn't they be?" I rolled my eyes.

"Well if it makes you feel any better, I totally support it." He says.

"Well you have to support me since I support you." I gave him a wink as his boyfriend walked up behind him and wrapped his arms around his waist. Then placed a kiss on Connor's lips.

"Yea well he supports you as well, right Jackson?" He eyes Jackson.

"Anything you want babe." He says.

Just then an idea came into my head. "I have an idea on how to win back Azariah and get my status back, as well as make one for her."

"Care to tell me what that idea is?" Connor asks with curiosity.

I smirk. "You will find out."

"God I hate you." He frowns at me.

"Nah you love me!" I say as I launch myself into him and hug him, then I run off before his boyfriend can hurt me.

Now I just need to make sure I find a way to get everyone together, including Azariah.

Or I need to interrupt a very big school event.

You guys can probably guess what I am hinting at.

But if you can't guess then you will find out.

I'm sorry if you think I'm putting a lot of gay people in here. I originally planned to just have her brother be gay, and have a secret boyfriend that you never meet. But I decided to make Wes gay as well. Then I randomly thought of a reason why Connor (new character) had to accept Danny's decisions.

That was the first thing I thought of and after that I couldn't help myself.

So here's my question:

Do you think Danny can win Azariah back that easily? Or will she still want to stay away from Danny?

So I'm slightly better, since the death of a classmate, who's funeral was today.

It still gets to me, I don't know how to react anymore, but if I hear one person speak badly about him one more time I swear I am going to get expelled or something.
