After a week of occasional glances and soft hi's from random people in the hallways during school, the day finally came when Danny returned home.
I met him at the airport.
When he saw me he jogged to me, wearing his band t-shirt, hoodie, blue jeans, vans, and beanie. He picked me up and twirled me as we kissed.
"I missed you so much Az." He said against my lips as he lowered me to the ground.
"I missed you too." I said and smiled against his lips.
He put me down and we walked to his truck.
"I have a lot to tell you..." I said as I grabbed his hand before getting in his truck.
"Well you have time to tell me." He smiled as he got in his side.
The whole ride to his house I explained what had happened that week. Everything except me kissing him and him being gay.
Once I finished explaining I looked at Danny.
"Wow. I'm really confused. So Wes had a twin brother named Frank who has been attacking us? But it was Wes at homecoming?" He glanced over at me.
"Yes. He wanted to explain everything. Once he was done explaining I gave him a goodbye kiss and he came out as gay." I had just realized what I said and slapped a hand over my mouth.
"You what?" He looked at me.
"It was a goodbye kiss because I never got to say bye to him, but I told him nothing would change. That I loved you." I smiled at him.
"As long as you made that point afterward then ok." He smiled back at me.
"And then he said he was gay and had his eye on someone... It better not be you! YOU ARE MINE!!!" I yelled.
"God I missed you and your weird, awkwardness." He grabbed my hand.
"I missed you and your protectiveness." I pause. "Hey guess what?"
"What?" He looked at me.
"I lived." I started to laugh.
"I didn't." He closed his eyes and pretended to die.
"Danny!!! Pay attention to the road!" I slap him and he laughs.
"It's ok Azariah. It's a back road. No one drives on these roads." He rolled his eyes.
I looked in the side mirror and then turned my body around and my eyes became wide.
"Danny! Wes— I mean Frank is behind us!" I turn back around and look at Danny.
"WHAT?!" He looked in his rear view mirror.
"He's speeding up Danny! Do something!" I was starting to freak out.
"It's too dangerous to speed up, but it's too dangerous to stay this speed." Danny just got out the last word when Frank hit our bumper and jolted us forward.
"Danny, do something!" I yell as I turn back to see Frank.
"I can't Azariah. If something happens I need you to call the police and run." He says sternly.
I grab my phone. Ready to dial 911.
Frank hits us again and we start going out of control.
Luckily, Danny straightens out as we go around a turn.
But then Frank does something that throws us off.
As we turn the corner he fires a gun at our tire, this slows us down.
