Ira's POV,

I left the mercenare hideout at around 7:00 AM. I'd been hiding in it for about a week since Rachel's... erm... small romantic gesture.

Am I really this embarrassed?

Flying to earth, I momentarily paused to cover my face with my hands.

"Why can't I get her out of my head!?" I growled, feeling my cheeks heat up. Devils, I really hate that Diamond girl. Some nerve she has to distract me from our rivalry.

Still, I had done what she asked of me; I thought and decided that I would visit her school. Was it a stupid idea? Maybe, but was I lowkey excited to see what an Earth "education" looked like and spy on Rachel? Hell yeah.

I brushed off the nerves and lingering memories from last week, and I flew over to Seashell Bay Middle School, being careful to not be spotted by any student.

Rachel's POV,

The school bell rang for first hour, and I said goodbye to some classmates as we parted ways. Oh, how I loved school these days!

Ever since I began spending more time in the glitter force, I was becoming a little more social. My friend group expanded, thanks to Mackenzie the superstar being my friend. I also  gained some confidence as Glitter Diamond to be more athletic, and I've managed to not be the last picked for PE activities.

I was in the middle of the lecture, teacher speaking and pen in my hand writing notes. A sudden thought crossed my mind—

I wonder if I'll see Ira at school today?

such a small thought, but I closed my eyes and let that thought take me to a daydream. I envisioned Ira standing behind a tree during lunchtime, and eventually walking up to talk. My mind then drifted to perhaps him disguising as a student and showing off his athletic abilities in PE class.

Wow, I thought. He'd look so cute showing off.

"Rachel!" An older woman's voice cut through my dreams.

Blinking, I looked up from my desk and saw the teacher and half of the class staring in my direction. I gulped.

"What are you waiting for? Could you red us Section 9 of your science textbook?"

"I'm so sorry Mrs. Mulberry," I apologized, and began to read the section flawlessly.

"There are three subatomic particles: protons, neutrons, and electrons. Two of the subatomic particles have—"

Ira's POV,

Wow, she's so smart.

I rested my chin on my hand, gazing into the window where Rachel read from her textbook.
(Ira you stalker lol😭✋🏼)
Her blue hair fell over her shoulder in a perfect cascade, and for the first time I noticed how healthy and shiny it was.

Her arm had gotten so much better too, she was able to carry her stuff again. That made me glad, because that means we can have a real match with her glitter friends again. I swear that's the only reason.

I ducked my head and cursed as a student walked over to the window I was at and closed the blinds.

Damn devils..!

They hadn't seen me, but I was so annoyed anyway. I was trying to watch, hello?
