Ira's POV,It all felt so bizarre to me. Here I was, a mercenare, standing with the yellow glitter girl in front of an oddly shaped store-house. It flaunted bright colors on its build.
The architecture on Earth can be so weird... I thought, remembering the jagged rocks at the hideout I used to call home. For me, that was what I considered normal. Not this tidy and bougie bungalow-looking thing.
It only took a few moments for the door to swing open. A man came out, one I had seen before who had befriended the Glitter Force. He had a fluorescent shade of hair, golden eyes and fashioned a girly apron, which I immediately hated.
Yeesh...
"Hello, my young friend!" The dude greeted merrily. "Clara texted me a while back saying you'd be coming over. No need to worry," he assured confidently.
His warm and charming demeanor made me almost feel guilty for having judged him.
Emphasis on almost.
Because then Clara thanked this "Johnny" guy and in a matter of seconds, left running back in the direction we came from. I guess she's going back for Rachel, who we had left alone in the rush of the scene.
I was now alone with this man, and the more I stared at his rose-colored garments, the more I wished Rachel's friend would have picked somebody different who would take care of me.
"Well come on in, Ira!" Johnny said to me enthusiastically. Slightly uncomfortable with the grin plastered on his face, I followed suit and went into his bright house. I found myself having to shield my eyes from the paper-white lights as I walked into a cool, fresh-smelling room.
Do all buildings on Earth have this tacky lighting? I wondered while straining my vision.
However, I was really in no position to complain. Flashes in my mind of the note I left back at my home quickly humbled me, and suddenly "Johnny's shop" wasn't so terrible.
I shifted my eyes across the room and saw Johnny, who was already preparing a spot on the couch for me. It was pretty thoughtful, but all I could notice was how he had more pink underneath his apron, peeking below his rosy button down.
I scowled and almost gasped as I saw this man press a fuchsia colored pillow shaped in a heart onto the couch.
He's not seriously going to make me sleep on that, is he?! I panicked. It's like he's TRYING to embarrass me!
I tried to go with my better judgement by thinking of how warm and snuggly those blankets looked, but my fury snapped when I saw him toss a teddy bear onto the pile.
"Alright, alright," I demanded, in a hushed aggressive tone. Racing over, I picked up the stuffed animal and let it drop onto the floor from my hand.
"I wont be needing this," I asserted.
It all happened so quick, I didn't even have time to think that what I had just done was rude.
I saw Johnny look less than pleased, eyes now fixated on my harsh expression. It was an awkward few moments, until after a bit he softened up his face and gave me a small smile.
"I'll be in the room next to the kitchen if you need anything," the man said to me.
His tall figure and slightly muscular build looked a bit intimidating to me, but as he walked away and into the room, I noticed how he had polish and a bit of a sway of hips in his step.
It made me feel gross inside, so I rolled my eyes and looked away from his embarrassing strolling.
I can't believe I'm going to be stuck with such a sissy pansy, I whispered in my brain, feeling tied down. This was going to be a long, long stay.
