The seats are empty, the theater is dark. Why do you keep acting?
__

Three months have passed since Taehyung and Jungkook got back together, during which time Taehyung helped him get through therapy and heal the wounds his father left him with. He went with him to every session, forced him to go when didn't feel like it, and most importantly just listened.

He dove deep inside Jungkook's mind and found home in there. He finally understood what real love and commitment actually meant and he was ready to sacrifice everything in order to keep it. Jungkook's traumas and depression forced him to let go of his own wounds from the past, his belief that everything has to be about him and his toxic behavior. He was dead serious about his future with the younger, that getting him the help he needs to get better so that they can have that future, became his only focus.

Jungkook saw that in him very clearly, and it scared him. He felt the love from Taehyung that he wanted all along, but certain questions kept repeating in his head every time he would do something passionate and caring - is this gonna last, or is it just the honeymoon phase all over again? Will he uncover something else about him that would push him over the edge to break it off again? Will he lie to him again?

The scary part was that he couldn't tell. Taehyung was so contradictory sometimes that their relationship would turn into a guessing game. Is he getting the good Taehyung today or the bad one?

He was the biggest paradox Jungkook had ever known. Insecure in everything he did, yet he loved himself to a point of total narcissism. There were times when he was warm and endearing one second but indifferent and aloof the next.
Some days they could talk about the universe until sunrise and others a simple smile in his direction was too much to expect of him. He confused Jungkook in every way possible, but one thing was always clear to him: despite the absolute train wreck that Taehyung was, he was irrevocably and totally in love with him, and the uncertainty of that change in him was terrifying.

Although scared about the future, Jungkook, despite everything he learned from Jimin about communication and why it's so important, kept these thoughts to himself to avoid conflict and hoped everything would fall magically into place. But what if it didn't?
