Michael's POV

I feel somebody slapping my cheeks and I jerk awake.

"Michaaaeeeelllllll! Wakey wakey! We're here." Luke says slapping my face again and again until I finally sit up and shove him off of me.

"Fine, I'm up. No need to be so aggressive." I mumble shoving my pillow in my back pack, climbing out of the cab. I stretch, looking around. I have to admit, this place is gorgeous. There's fields and fields of green grass and two really cool looking barns. And the house is really cool. Its a three story Victorian styled house. Its pretty big, and I think I can see a few outbuildings a little ways behind the barn. The next thing I notice is the two people coming out of the amazing house. It's a guy and a girl, both seem to be our age. The guy looks like your stereotypical 'cowboy'. He's tall, about my height, and he has on a pair of jeans that look like they haven't gone a day without seeing the sun, a plain white t-shirt that I think is a little to tight, and a 'cowboy' hat. Then I see the girl. She's about five nine, five ten. She has on dark jeans that fit her beautifully, a pair of 'cowgirl' boots, a t-shirt tucked in with a really blingy belt. Her jet black hair is pulled up and stuffed into a baseball cap. And her eyes, her beautiful eyes, are an ocean blue. The kind you could get lost in. I take all of this in in a matter of seconds and help the boys unload our bags as the cowboy dude pays the taxi driver. The beautiful girl walks up to me, offering her hand for me to shake.

"Hi," She gives me a gorgeous smile. "I'm Angela."

Angela's POV

"Hi," I say to the one standing closest to me. He has blue/white hair, and an eyebrow piercing. "I'm Angela." He nods and shakes my hand.

"M-M-Michael." He finally gets out, and then blushes, which is very evident on his pale skin. I nod. Michael is the one I got the file on. He's the addict. The other three are only here to support him.

"Nice to meet you." I say and turn to the other three.

"Hey guys!" I shout at them and motion for them to come over. "Jake'll get your bags in the house." They all nod and surround me. "I'm Angela, but you guys can call me Ange, or Angie. Welcome to Wittshome, this will be your home for the next two months. We currently are running, breeding, and selling two hundred head of cattle and have thirty horses. We have ten thousand acres of land, two horse barns, two cattle barns, and two arenas." They all look impressed, so I continue seeing as they have no questions. "You will be working here every day, helping to keep this place running. You'll get into the schedule and keep the same chores every day. It'll get easier as you get into the routine." I smile, letting that sink in. They all nod in agreement. I motion at Jake who is coming back outside after taking their bags in. "And this is my second in command, and best friend, Jake Mallow." Jake nods at them.

"It's nice to meet y'all." He says in his thick southern accent. Actually, I guess I have one too. I've never really thought about that before.

"He'll be around to help too." I continue. Jake nods, smiling. I forget how shy he is when it's not just us. I smile at him and he smiles back. "But, for now, I made a pretty big breakfast that's getting cold. You guys hungry?" I ask with a smirk. They all do little 'whoops' and 'hollers'. Its kinda cute. Then they all run into the house and the eight of us start eating. It's super tense and awkward. It's kinda clear Michael doesn't want to be here, and the other boys are clearly trying to compensate for it. It takes a while, but eventually, things loosen up, and we're all laughing and joking. Which is a lot easier to do when they're your age and not a bunch of teenagers. After about twenty minutes, I start to think maybe this summer won't be all that bad.
