Steve told Billy his address and they zoomed off down the road.
Most of the journey was silent, with the radio blasting "I Was Made for Lovin' You' by Kiss. Eventually, Steve spoke up. "I'm sorry you know. I didn't mean to hurt you during basketball and... and my emotions are ju..." The mullet man driving the car had raised his hand and placed his finger over Steve's soft lips, restricting him from talking any longer. "Shhhhh, no need to explain yourself to me Harrington." Billy said seductively.
Steve was shocked by the tone of voice this macho man had used with him. He sat back in his chair trying to hide the confused look displayed on his face. Had Billy really just spoken to him like that? Usually he would have a problem with a guy talk to him like that but this felt different. This felt right.
''Harrington. Hey, hello. You in there?'' Billy chuckled, snapping his fingers in front of Steve's face. ''Huh. What?'' Steve sputtered. ''We're here.'' Billy pointed out the window at a large house, placed atop of a small hill. The disorientated boy ducked his head down to look out the window to see his house. ''Oh.. um.. right. Thanks for the lift. I'll see you Monday.'' Steve stammered as he climbed out of the car.
He expected Billy to drive straight off but he waited and watched Steve walk all the way up the drive and through the front door. When the door was fully shut, he set off down the road. Billy's head spiralled with thoughts. What was he doing? What was this feeling he felt? He couldn't be falling for a jackass like Steve Harrington. This just wasn't Billy.
Billy had got home and went to his room. He lay on his unmade bed, staring at his ceiling, replaying his day out in his head. For the most part, the day had actually been alright. It was just the fight. Oh gosh the fight! What would Billy's punishment be? He'd end up with detention for a whole month or get expelled! He couldn't get expelled from his new school after a day. Where else was he meant to go? After all it was the only high school in the area.
~~~~~Time Skip to the Next Day~~~~~
The birds where singing, and the sun was shining high in the sky. All was peaceful, all was clam, until a loud thud was heard on the other side of the door. "Billy! Me and your mother are going out, you're watching Maxine while we're gone!" the voice boomed. "Okay." Billy yawned, rubbing his eyes. He rolled out of his bed and descided to get some breakfast.
It was 1 in the afternoon so Max was already dressed and ready for her day. "I'm going out!" the redhead yelled from the front door. "No you're not." Billy ran to the door to stop his step-sister from leaving. "I'm baby sitting you so you're not going anywhere." He slammed the door shut. "You never let me do anything! You're not even my brother!" Declared the girl, crossing her arms and storming out. This was a regular occurrence so Billy went back to the kitchen and devour his breakfast.
A couple hours had past and the house had gotten quieter. Alarmed by the newly found silence, Billy bolted to the gingers room and burst through the door. Much to his dismay, Max was no where to be seen. Frantically, the boy darted out the house and sped off down the street in his Chevrolet Camaro Z-28.
He went to the Sinclair house, and Henderson house before making his was to the Wheeler house. He pulled up outside the large family home to see a tall man with luscious locks stood in the doorway. "I know you're like in love with me or something but stalking is a bit much even for you Harrington." Billy teased as he got out of his car and walked towards the door.
"What are you doing here?" Asked Steve, shocked by the appearance of Billy. "Looking for my shit head sister Max. Small, redhead, you seen her?" Steve shook his head. "No sorry. She might be inside." He suggested. Steve raised his hand and knocked loudly on the door. A couple second later the door swung open, reveling a middle-aged women, with light brown hair. "Hey Steve, Nancy not home. Who's your friend?" spoke the woman. "I'm Billy, I'm looking for my little sister Maxine. She small, redhead, have you seen her?" Billy questioned.
"No sorry none of the kids are home. Have you tried the Byers house?" she suggested. "No but I will now. Thank you." The door shut and Billy walked back to his car. "Want a lift?" He shouted back to Steve. The boy glanced back before jogging over and getting in the Chevrolet Camaro Z-28. "Want me to drop you off at home?" questioned Billy. Steve thought for a second before replying "Erm.. no I'll help you find your sister."
Billy was shocked. Why was Steve being so nice all of a sudden? Did he really just say he would help him search for Max? Billy sped off down the road in the direction on the Byers house on the other side of town.
For a while the journey was quite untill Billy finally spoke up. "So you walked all the way to Nancy's in the rain to apologise." "Yeah I guys." The boy shrugged sheepishly. "Pretty romantic if you ask me. Nancy's very lucky to have you." The bad boy croaked. The car dropped silent again and the sound of Judas Priest's Breaking the Law could be heard from the radio.
Eventually, they made it to the Byers house and walked up to the door. Billy thumped the door. No one answered. Steve banged on the door. Again, no one answered. "They must not be in." big man Steve stated and began to head back to the car. Billy on the other hand wasn't taking no for an answer and tried the door handle. It opened. Without thinking, the stylish boy headed inside. "Hey! Hey Billy! Where you going!?" Steve followed after him.
"Billy! This is breaking an entry!" yelled Steve as he searched the house for Billy. Steve found the charming boy frozen outside a door. "AHH finally we..." Steve stopped as the boy at the end of the corridor placed his finger over his lips and pointed in at the door. Steve squinted as he noticed the door was open ajar. On the other side of the door was a bed with two people sat upon it. It took Steve a second to realise the people where Johnathan Byers and Nancy! Steve was enraged. He clenched his fists and stormed over to the door.
Before he could enter, Billy the mullet man stepped in front of him, restricting him from entering. "Let me go. I want to talk to Nancy." Steve murmured. "No. Go back to the car and calm down." Billy whispered back, pushing Steve towards the door. They got back in the car and drove off.
"I can't believe Nancy would do that to me!" Steve grunted. "We had one small argument yesterday and she thinks it's alright to go off with that freak." He yelled as he flailed his arms around. "I can't believe she did that to you either. She was put of order." supported Billy. "Exactly, I wouldn't do that to her so why would she do that to me?" Billy nodded in agreement. "I wouldn't have done that to you." He muttered.
The car dropped silent. Steve was in visible shock while Billy sat beside him praying he hadn't said that out loud. "I'm sorry, I shou..." Before Billy had chance to finish warm lips where pressed against his own. His eyes wide open in shock as Steve's rested closed with pleasure. Billy could feel his cheeks flush a bright red as Steve's cold, dry hand gripped his face. After realising what was happening the mullet wearing man pushed the delicate boy away.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry, I don't know what came over me." pleaded Steve. "No I'm sorry. I really like you Steve but I can't do this and I'm sorry. I'll just take you home." Billy confessed. He had fallen for the schools heartthrob and the school heartthrob had fallen for him.
