In "The young lord's wish", Childe had defeated the Fatui and the Tsaritsa. He became the new Cryo archon by receiving the archon's gnosis. The day Aether came to Snezhnaya, him and Childe started dating. Together, they continued Aether's journey to find Lumine while Childe learned how to keep the Tsaritsa's powers under control. They went to Fontaine where they bought couple rings. (Because Aether liked the jewelry there)
You'd think that now that Snezhnaya lost it's old archon and Childe currently isn't there, that everything became chaos, but Snezhnaya is now an independent nation. (Kind of like Liyue) of course, because Childe has family in Snezhnaya, he and Aether return home every now and then during their journey to seem them.
