Childe took a deep breath and responded: "Aether, you are the most amazing thing that has ever happened to me. When i fell into the abyss, i thought i'd never feel any happy emotions ever again. That's why i indulged myself into battling. When i met you, it was as if a little piece of the sun had fallen onto my dark and lonely path. When i went up to it, it burned even brighter and lit up not only my path, but also the future i thought was out of reach. That's when i realized, that little piece of the sun, was you. You made my life better, and you trusted me to achieve my dreams and stayed with me like you promised. I want to spend the rest of my life and the rest my everything with you."

Childe got on one knee and pulled out a little box from his pocket. He opened the box and inside, were two identical rings. "Aether, will you marry me?" Childe asked as he looked up at his lover.

Tears streamed down Aether's face. He was so speechless that he couldn't find the right words to respond. He got on his knees and hugged Childe.

"Is that a yes?" Childe asked teasingly. Aether chuckled and responded: "it's a yes" they kissed and Childe put one of the rings on Aether's left ring finger, while Aether put the other ring on Childe's left ring finger.

"I can officially call you my wife now." Childe said as they both smiled.

"Not yet." Aether responded. "Right now, i'm your fiancé. You'll have to be a little more patient if you want to call me your wife."

Childe chuckled and said: "i'll wait until the end of my life if it means i get to call you mine."

They kissed once more and the next morning, they went home to Snezhnaya to tell everyone the good news.
