After reading the letter that lisa sent him. Jungkook told the rest of the squad about his best friend's departure, but what he didn't expect was them to already know this.
He was kinda hurt. He was her bestie afterall, why did she wrote him a letter and didn't said goodbye personally? Like she did with the others?
' Did she really hate me that much? Am i a bad friend? ' He questioned himself for the nth time this week.
Jungkook was hurt and sad of lisa leaving the country, he thought that she could still be here, but when he went to her house, it was quite and no one was there.
He tried his best to contact her, but its always ringing. His best friend is ignoring him! He called everyday, hoping for lisa to answer or return his call. But it never happened, yet he didn't stop trying.
Few months later, while he and Haera we're walking out of class, he heard his phone ring. He immediately answered the call, feeling excited, happy and nervous at the same time.
" hello? " he asked.
" hey, kook. " the girl on the other line answered.
" lili..... " a tear scaped from his eyes as he called the name of his best friend.
" yess, its me. How are you kook? "
" I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, sorry.. Lili. I didn't know how much i hurt you. I'm really sorry " he cried.
Haera, seeing the scene in front of her felt curious as to why her ' crush ' was crying. Is he alright? Who is he talking to?' She thought.
"........."
" Lili? "
" y-yeah. "
" im sorry"
" i know. I'm sorry too, for ignoring your calls and messages. I just needed space that time and i wasn't ready to call back yet. "
" No, no, you dont have to say sorry, it was my fault afterall. Anyways, how are you? Are you eating fine? What about your new school? " he asked while wiping his tears away.
" Yea, its all good. Uhmm K-kook, i have something to tell you. I-i feel like i have to say this to you because we're still besties? Right? "
" of course, you're still my best friend. I would never replace you with someone."
After hearing this, lisa fell silent. 'You already did' she uttered quitely.
" im in a relationship " she quickly said.
Jungkook was taken back by this revelation, he was hurt? He was confused, and jealous. He didn't understand it at all. Why would he suddenly feel this? He was sure when he rejected lisa, he like Haera. But what was happening to him now? Why was he getting all worked up by lisa having a boyfriend. He want to ask himself. He wanted answers.
" o-oh. " was all he said.
" yeah... " she confirmed.
" ah lili, I'll call you later, the bell just ringed. You dont want me to miss my class, do you? " he chuckled softly, wanting to change and forget the truth he just heard.
" yea, yea. Go on kook, I'll be waiting for your call! Byeee "
" Bye "
He smiled as he ended the call. He felt his heart being blessed when he heard her laughs, he can imagine her smiling brightly at the other side of the phone.
Classes ended quickly, and Jungkook was now on his bed, frustrated, as he seek answers in himself. Tired of thinking, he went to get his phone and stalk lisa on Instagram, he saw her account and decided to check on her posts.
The very first photo he saw, broke his heart. A photo of lisa and a guy hugging. With a caption : " thank you for showing me the light when i was engulfed in the darkness. And my answer is YES! I'd love yo be your girlfriend! Love you too! "

In that moment, he suddenly knew the answers to his questions. He knew he missed his chance. But he wasn't aware of his own feelings that time. He only realized that he was deeply attracted to her when she left. He hate himself for being the reason why she left.
He looked at the picture again. After a while of thinking, he decided to call lisa, just like he promised earlier.
" Hey lili "
" ye? "
" how's your relationship? Is he treating you properly? "
" well first of all, good evening to you too kook. Second yes, he treats me like a queen! "
" glad to know that. Care to tell me your lovestory? "
" gladly, just dont fall asleep okay? "
" when i landed here, my dad was busy so mom, with her bestfriend and her son went to get me. We didn't talk that much on out first meeting though. I didnt know that we have the same school and class! As you know, it was my first day in school, and he was the one who guide me to my classes. He always wear a cold expression on his face so i was scared to be with him. He also helped me deal with my problems... After spending months with him, i realized that he wasnt that much of a jerk. Ahahhaha and then we became partners in everything! And just last week, he confessed to me, asked me out on a date and i said yes! The funny thing is, our mom was the one who was more excited and happy for our relationship."
Jungkook was just listening to her story. He didn't even missed a single word. He was hurt, jealous, mad but he was happy for her. ' She's really happy and i dont wnat to take that happiness from her. ' he thought.
That night, as the two exchanged stories about their life these past few months, jungkook decided that he will hide his true feelings until it fades away.
