Roses

It was 29th of October, a guy surrounded by a bunch of ladies was waiting for his date to appear. Constantly looking at his black watch, he kept his eyes on the entrance of the place.

It was an annual prom night of the school and everyone was wearing gowns, dresses and suits. Looking fancy and elegant. Chattering, drinking, dancing were the things occurring in the party. Some, were waiting for their dates to arrive and that includes Jungkook, he has been sitting in the corner at the right side of the venue, looking at every girl entering the party. With each passing minute, his nervousness is growing. What if she didn't like him to be her date? What should he do? Should he just go home?

While he was busy worrying at his 'negative assumptions', the noisy crowd became silent. As she passes by, they let out gasps and compliments. 'Was she this beautiful before?' 'Is she the same girl?' lots of questions formed in their minds while jealousy appeared on some girls' heart.

"hey"

"h-huh?" he stuttered. He was too busy with his own thoughts that he didn't realize that his date already entered the place. As she sat down next to him, he noticed how different she is tonight. She was glowing like a princess straight out from a fairy tale.

"You look troubled, any problems?" she asked, concerned of his well-being.

"Oh that, uh no. I'm fine, I was just thinking."

"Thinking huh... were you thinking about me?" she asked jokingly.

"yes" he answered quickly while keeping a straight face.

Lisa felt her face heat up, she was just joking! He didn't even hesitate to answer. Was he really thinking about her? sure, she took more than an hour preparing but that doesn't mean that he should think of me through that time!

*Lisa's awkward laugh*

"So, uhm why don't we go check the foods they prepared?" she asked, trying to distract herself.

"Oh yeah. Let's do that."

The two went to get food. After eating, they went to the school garden to get away from the noisy crowd and loud music. 

Fresh air and the view of hundreds of roses filled their eyes when they arrive at the school garden. The school garden has been abandoned since they entered the university , it was a place full of bushes, wild flowers and even the benches were old and broken. 

The school garden was their hideout, their comfort place. It was Jungkook who first found the garden. The garden that was supposed to be 'kept out'. He spent his free time, writing songs, painting landscapes and sketching random ideas in the abandoned garden. But then, one afternoon, while he was busy sketching on his pad, he saw her. She was planting something on the garden.

" what are you doing here? who are you? " he asked.

the girl turned and chuckled nervously.

" hi, i'm lisa. I found this garden yesterday and i saw no one so, i thought there are no people here. And i'm planting a rose! " she explained.

" and why are you planting a rose? "

" uhmm..because it's a garden? " she answered truthfully.

Jungkook laugh softly as he remember the first time they met,

" do you still remember our first meeting? " he asked.

" of course " she said as she reminisced the moment.

Silent fell as both of them breathe the scent of roses.

" its beautiful, i've never seen something like this before kook "

" i worked hard to grow all of that roses, y'know?"

" so that's why you didn't let me in here for months!"

" hehehehe sorry lily. its for the sake of the surprise"

" fine, i forgive you but just because you've done a really good job!"

" that's great, btw lily, here." he said as he handed her three white roses.

Lisa was shocked to see him holding three pure, beautiful white roses. She was awestruck by the flower's beauty. And after a millisecond, she gasped. white rose? WHITEROSE?!  Did he choose that flower purposely? or was it just a coincidence? or maybe he don't know what it means? because if he do, that means-

" I LOVE YOU lisa. " lisa's thoughts was interrupted as she heard Jungkook's deep voice. 

" i don't know if you love me back or even like me lisa, but i just needed to tell you. it's ok if you wont accept the rose. i understand-" he added but immediately stopped as he felt lisa's soft lips on his cheeks.

" I love you too, idiot! " she confesses with a tomato face.
