Time Of The Month

(My writers block refuses to leave. This is the last chapter I wrote before it began, so unless it goes away don't expect another chapter tomorrow)

(Y/n) sat in silence as he glanced down at his dinner. "You gonna eat?" Molly asked as she bit into her burger.

"I- I don't know" (y/n) slowly lowered his hand and picked up the burger that had been on his plate. "Oh thank god" he muttered as he let out a sigh of relief. He was not in the mood to relive his meals death. He quickly took a bite of his food.

Karolina grimaced as she watched them eat. She was eating a one of those fake meat burgers. "I don't understand how you can eat a living creature"

"It's not living anymore" (y/n) shrugged causing Molly to laugh. "Besides, cows are ugly animals. The only beef I won't eat is veal. I'm not eating a baby"

"At least you have some sense of right and wrong" Karolina shook her head. "Why are you eating with us anyways? I thought you would be with Nico" Karolina didn't even try to hide the jealousy in her voice.

"Nico has been spending a lot of time in her room. I think it's her time of the month" (y/n) bit into his burger once again.

"Don't assume. She may just be doing Nico stuff" Karolina bit into her meal.

"Yeah. Besides if it was her time of the month couldn't she just use her magic to stop it?" Molly asked causing (y/n) to turn to her and shrug.

"Yes. Yes she could" the three quickly turned to see Nico walking down the stairs. "But I don't do that. Every spell only works once remember? May as well get used to periods"

"You feeling okay?" Karolina asked as Nico walked up to the group and sat beside (y/n).

"Bite me" Nico didn't look at anyone, she just grabbed a burger.

"Is that offer open to anyone?" (Y/n) joked as Nico bit into her food.

"Would you actually do it or would you just pussy out as soon as I touched you?" Nico snapped at the boy. (Y/n)'s eyes widened as Molly began laughing her ass off.

"Should we still not assume it's her time of the month?" Molly asked as she turned to Karolina. Karolina just shook her head.

Nico rolled her eyes but ignored them as she ate her burger.

They ate in silence for a while. Eventually (y/n) finished eating. "So how long does this typically last?" (Y/n) asked as he turned to Nico. She looked at him like he was an idiot. "Hey, kid who never had real friends before, much less female friends. How would I know any of this?"

"Health class in school?" Karolina suggested.

"I never took it. Parents had to sign a waiver for that and there was no way I was going to ask my mom to sign anything" (y/n) almost shuddered at the memory of the last time he asked his mother for something.

"Two to seven days" Molly answered the boys previous question as she ate the last bit of her burger.

"Holy shit" (y/n)'s eyes widened. "I thought it was a few hours or at most a day"

"Well it's not" Nico spoke firmly as she quickly crossed her arms.

"Alright, alright. No need to get snippy" Nico glared at the boy with a look that could have scared a bear. He slowly stood up and backed away. "I'm gonna go... practice my power"

Nico rolled her eyes as she watched the boy quickly walk out of the kitchen and up the stairs.

Once in his room (y/n) sat down on his bed with a sigh. Nico was great but she could be terrifying. The boy looked around the room. "What am I supposed to do now?" Contrary to what he had told the group he wasn't in any hurry to test out his powers more.

"(Y/n)" the boy turned to see Molly standing in his doorway. "I figured you could use some company" Molly walked inside and sat on the boys bed beside the boy.

"You mean you're bored because Gert is on a date with Chase, you don't want to hang out with Nico because she's menstruating, and Karolina is trying to make Nico's experience a bit less aggravating?" (Y/n) asked as he looked down at the girl beside him.

Molly was silent for a moment before speaking. "Don't be a smart ass. I don't see what Nico sees In you"

"I'd assume she sees someone with similar life experiences who she believes is a good person. Whether that last part is true or not is something only time can tell" (y/n) shrugged as he looked towards the door.

"You eat pizza with a fork and knife. She knows you're not a good person" Molly crossed her arms.

(Y/n) considered it for a moment before speaking. "Have you ever tried pizza with a fork and knife?" Molly shook her head. "It's awesome"

"Doesn't matter if you like it that way, it's still evil" Molly crossed her arms and turned away from the boy.

"I'm fine with that. Evil is cool" (y/n) pat the girls hatted head. Molly just shook her head again. "So what did you come here for again?"

"To hang out" Molly spoke as she glanced over at the boys TV. "Want to watch something?"

"Looney Tunes?" (Y/n) asked quickly. He had only started using the TV when they moved into this place so that was all he had watched so far.

"Yes!" Molly answered quickly before grabbing the remote from behind her and turning the TV on.

The two laughed as they watched Wile E. Coyote get crushed by an anvil that he had tried to crush the Roadrunner with. "That never gets old" Molly laughed as (y/n) nodded in agreement.
