Chapter 7 : Meeting Hagrid

You get dressed in (outfit of your choice) and go downstairs.

Dad- "Ah there you are. Hagrid will be here any minute, he will show you what you need. Now there is breakfast on the table. I have to go to work. Oh and try to keep the necklace hidden. Who knows what people will do if they found out."

You put the necklace on but the stone part is under your shirt so it's hidden. Although you are confused you decide not to ask questions.

Y/n- "Okay. Bye dad, I love you." You hug him.

Dad- "Bye sweetheart, stay safe." Just as your father is about to leave, you hear footsteps coming towards the door. You both look at the door and someone knocks it down. You and your father stare at the person.

Hagrid- "Ah hello there, I'm Hagrid, pleased to meet you." Your father reaches to shake his hand.

Dad- "Hello. This is my daughter Y/n." Hagrid looks to you, you wave.

Y/n- "Hello."

Hagrid- "So you're the daughter of the famous Y/n. It's nice to finally meet you." You shake his hand.

Y/n- "Nice to meet you to."

Hagrid- "Well we best be goin' to diagon alley, now."

Dad- "Yes of course." He turns to you. "Be good Y/n. Don't cause trouble." He then leans in to whisper in your ear, "And don't tell anyone about the necklace."

Y/n-"Yes of course."

Hagrid knocks down the coat rack.

Hagrid- "Whoops sorry 'bout that." He attempts to fix it.

Dad- "That's alright l'll fix it later. Go on now."

Y/n- "Bye dad. I love you." He kisses your cheek and you and Hagrid go out the door. There's a motor bike by the sidewalk. Hagrid walks over to it, you follow him.

Hagrid- "Hop on now. You hop on.

Hagrid- "Hold on tight." He starts the bike and it starts flying.

Y/n- In mind : What the- aaaahhh. Okay, okay this is the day I die. Wait, it's kind of nice actually. This is kind of fun.

Hagrid parks the bike in a narrow alley way and walks out to the streets.

Y/n- "So how exactly do we get to diagon alley?"

Hagrid- "Ah we need to go to the leaky cauldron." You continue walking until you come across a shop called 'The leaky cauldron.' You walk inside and everyone looks at Hagrid.

R/n 1- "Hey there Hagrid."

R/n 2- "Hello Hagrid."

R/n 3- "Hey Hagrid, fancy seeing you here." You look around at everyone.

Hagrid- "Hello R/n 3. Yeah I'm just helping Miss Y/n L/n here get her school supplies." Heads turn towards you people start whispering. You are uncomfortable. Some random person says "a-are y-you really M/n's daughter?" You nod your head, Hagrid smiles. Everyone gapes, you get to the back.

Y/n- "Hagrid? Why is everyone looking at me like that?" You look up at him.

Hagrid- "Because your mother was very famous."

Y/n- "Why? What did she do to become famous?"

Hagrid- "Well you see here, your mother was a very powerful witch, she stopped
'you-know-who' many times."

Y/n- "Actually I don't know who."

Hagrid looks at you sternly.

Hagrid- "His name is-"

Y/n- "What? What's his name?"

Hagrid- "Voldemort." He whispers.

Y/n- "Voldemort?" Hagrid puts a finger to his lips.

Hagrid- "Shhhh, you must not say that name. Okay?"

Y/n- "Okay." In mind : Why is he so afraid of this Voldemort guy? Is he the dark wizard Anna warned me about? You sigh.

Hagrid- "We're here." You stare at him confused.

Y/n- "Hagrid, what do you mean we' re here. We're in front of a brick wall."

Hagrid- "Oh you'll see." He taps a few bricks with his umbrella and a door opens.

Y/n- "Woah." You stare, surprised.

Hagrid- "Welcome to diagon alley."

Quick recap: Y/n has talked with Anna, the sapphire witch before her, her father is the only person she has told about what happened and she keeps the necklace hidden. She has met Hagrid and they are now going to Diagon Alley. In the next part Y/n will go to Gringotts and Ollivanders.
