Chapter 5

Chapter 5 : The origin

You stare at each other for a few minutes.

Dad- "What are you hiding?" He asks nodding towards my back.

Y/n- "Um.. Nothing." You say but you already know he saw it. He stares at you waiting. You sigh.

Y/n- "It's a necklace." You show it to him. He takes it and looks at it. His eyes widen.

Dad- "Who gave this to you?" He asks sounding surprised and a little frightened.

Y/n- "Dahali gave me the necklace but I found the stone in the lake." You say getting nervous.

Y/n- In mind : Why does he sound scared? Does he know what it is?

Dad- "Do you know what this is?"

Y/n- "What it means?" You shake your head. He is making you more nervous.

Dad- "No of course not. You didn't even know you were a which." He laughs and gets up and goes out of the room. You stand there shocked.

Y/n- In mind : Why did he leave? He definitely knows something about it.

He comes back carrying a book. He sits on the bed.

Dad- "Come here." You sit next to him.

Dad- "This is the sapphire stone." He opens the book and flips to a page titled 'The Stone Of The Sapphire Witch.' You stare in shock.

Dad- "This stone belonged to the sapphire witch, the most powerful witch in the world." You get more nervous and scared.

Dad- "The sapphire witch was a descendant of Rowena Ravenclaw. After the sapphire witch died, her necklace was stolen and never found again." Your dad sighs and closes the book.

Y/n- "Why would they steal the necklace?"

Dad- "Because there is a legend that says before the sapphire witch died, the stone from the necklace absorbed all of her power in order to give it to the next worthy witch so that she may become the sapphire witch." You stare confused, then you realize.

Dad- "But it's only a legend, the last sapphire witch has been gone for over a hundred years." He gets up leave. You decide to tell him.

Y/n- "It chose me." You say with your head down.

Dad- "What?" He turns back to look at you.

Y/n- "The necklace. It chose me to be the next sapphire witch." You say. You look up to see your dad staring at you.

Dad- "What do you mean? How did it choose you?" He sounds frantic, scared.

Y/n- "Well, I was down by the lake after Dahali went back to the house and the water started glowing so l reached in and pulled out the stone then for some crazy reason I thought the stone might fit in the necklace so I tried it and it did and for another crazy reason I decided to put it on. It started glowing, my eyes turned blue and then it stopped and my eyes were green." You gasp to try and catch your breath.

Dad- "What?! What made you think to even touch a mysterious glowing object!?!"

Y/n- "Curiosity?" You shrug. He stares at you.

Y/n- "Are you mad?" You ask. You hate getting your father mad. He sighs.

Dad- "No. No I'm not mad. After all there is a reason it chose you over everyone else." You take a sigh of relief.

Y/n- "That's good but scary but how did you get that book? I thought you said you weren't a wizard."

Dad- "No I'm not but your mother was. She was also a descendant of Rowena Ravenclaw."

Y/n- "But that means.. that l'm. ."

Dad- "Yes. You are also a descendant of Rowena Ravenclaw." You are shocked.

Y/n- In mind : That was a whole lot of information to take in.

Dad- "It's getting late. You should go to bed."

Y/n- "Yeah okay, I'm awfully tired." He begins to leave but stops and turns around.

Dad- "Oh and one more thing. Tomorrow someone from the wizard world will come to take you to buy your school supplies."

Y/n- "Okay, good night dad, love you."

Dad- "Good night sweetheart, I love you too." He closes the lights and then leaves. You fall asleep.
