ENEMY 14

We both lock eyes she stands there frozen in her place. I stand up she runs around the circle giving me a hug. The friend group was confused as to how I know one of their friends.  

She was crying on me, I hug her tightly moving side to side.

"Danny what the hell!" She says pulling away smiling.

"Sierra" I say shock to be seeing her after so many years.

"Y'all this is my ex" she says to her friends that gasps.

"What?!" That girl says looking to Sierra.

"Yea... I haven't seen him in forever" she says looking back to me.

"When did you come back" I ask her.

"A couple years ago... sorry for not reaching out" she says looking down.

"So this hottie is your ex" the guy helping says to her.

"Yea... don't be doing that... he's not into being complimented a lot" she says elbow me and I laugh.

"What are you doing here?" She asks me, I tap Lisa's shoulder.

"Lisa wanted me to come with her on a picnic" I say smiling, Lisa nods her head. Here we go again her not talking as much.

Just to give you a heads up Sierra is Bi.

"Oh are you guys dating" I choke on my air, I shake my head to her.

"No?......you guys look cute together" I look down to Lisa who is looking to the trees No listening or so I thought. Her ears are red right now.

"No no , just .. friends?" I say to her she smiles.

"Guess what?" She says to me showing a ring on her finger , I hold her hand looking at it.

"Promise ring" she says twirling her fingers.

"Who?"

"My girlfriend... she gave me this it is pretty" she says twirling her fingers.

"That's dope" I say looking at it.

"Oh guys I brought some cake" Sierra says picking the cake from the grass putting it on the blanket opening the case. She goes back to the other side to sit. I sit down beside Lisa again, I look over to her shaking her a little.

"Do you want cake" I say to her she turns her head back seeing the cake being cut. She grabs a slice slowly eating it, the other friends run around on the grass playing volleyball.

Leaving just Lisa and me on the blanket, she's sitting on her legs. She sighs, I look over to her raising an eyebrow.

"What's up with you?" I laugh a little, laying back on my arms.

"Can you stop acting like that when I talk to people" I say to her she bites her lip.

"I saw your face" I say nodding my head looking at the people playing volleyball.

"You remember that bear you ripped ... that's from her" I say to Lisa.

"Don't worry demon... she's got a girlfriend" I say to her she smirks , I see it but I act like I didn't.

"Why didn't you tell me you were friends with her" I say laughing.

"Well first you never told me about her, the only person that probably knows is Tommy" she says to me she's right.

"What happened between y'all?" She ask curiously.

"Nothing bad , she moved away and we didn't want the relationship to be long distance so we ended it ... didn't speak to each other for years" I say playing with the bottom of my hoodie.
