...Today is the day.... I finally start the job I have been working and working to get for the past 3 years...The opportunity of a lifetime for me....but things didn't quite go the way I thought....Before I start explaining what I mean by that let me give you a little background info first..

Well I guess i should introduce myself. My Name is Alexus Steele....Lexa for short...I'm 24 years old...Medium Wavy Long Brown Hair with Green Eyes....Im 5'1...(yeah, I know I'm Short) and I weigh about 110...I was born and I currently live in Georgetown, South Carolina. Anyway, enough of the visual and lets get on with it!

I come from a normal loving family. My father (Oliver Steele) is a Construction company owner. He is an avid hunter and fisherman and he is definitely at fault for me being such a tomboy during my younger years! He's a big person physically. He's 6'0 ft tall and kinda muscular with dark brown hair with a smidgen of gray and a Tom Selleck-ish mustache..He's got kind of a stern look about him but at heart he is a big softy!

My mother (Carolyn Steele) on the other hand is a gentile small woman. She loves all animals, likes to sew and cook and is about 5'3 with short light brown hair and kinda petite like me. She is kinda the perfect cliche picture of a southern mother.Except for the fact that she is as frank and as crazy as they come and has a sense of humor most people have a hard time following.

For example... When I was in middle school, I was about 14 yrs old and a guy I had a crush on. Zack Thomas, asked me to a middle school dance. Well, when I went home and excitedly told my mother she said quote "Oh Sweetheart! That's just wonderful! We'll pick your dress out and and you can wear a little makeup."

I was so excited and happy and then the moment was gone when she said..."Just make sure you don't get knocked up or your father will bury you both in the woods and you'll never be found".

Needless to say Me and Zack didn't even share a kiss goodbye at the end of that night. But don't get the wrong idea about my mother. She is awesome and when the situation calls for it she is supportive and serious. I love my parents and we are really close.

You'll get to know them more later on.

Growing up in a small southern town,We are mostly surrounded by the woods. Most people there partake in outdoor sports like hunting, fishing, hiking, camping and just spending time outdoors.

I started out as a tomboy, going hunting and fishing with my father. I can shoot most types of guns and I am proud to say If i do catch a fish i can take it off the hook myself! Growing older I did finally get to the stage where I where makeup and dresses and act like the girl that I am.

My father being who he is, pretty much raised me to be confident in myself but not cocky. To respect your elders and never underestimate anyone. Now my mother's influence on the other hand helped shape my sense of humor and she taught me to be happy with what I have. They both shaped me to be the person I am today.

The reason I am explaining this to you is so you'll have a better understanding in the decisions I make during my story.

Ok to begin then.....

Since I was about the age of 13 I've had this thing...It's hard to explain....It's kind of a feeling of there being more to this world then what we believe....And I don't mean Big Foot or the Loch Ness Monster..What I mean is I've always believed that there are things that cannot be explained...

Don't get me wrong, I'm not psychic and I dont see ghosts. There is pretty much nothing special about me.

Growing up In my town if you wanted to go outside at night and just sit by yourself it wasn't a big deal. In my small town we didn't really worry about crime too much, which was mostly due to the fact most people honored the "right to bear arms" so you were pretty stupid if you decided to break into someone's home.

Growing up I would sit on my porch at night and just listen to the crickets and frogs. It was so peaceful. But occasionaly I got the feeling of being watched or a kind of feeling that there was something out there in the woods.... just..... there.

It wasn't an overwhelming fear or scary feeling it was just as if something was there.

Things were so much simpler back then...If I would have only known how my life could change.
