I lay in bed staring up at the ceiling. My mind going over everything I've learned in the past few days.

How can it be true! Even though I want to deny the existence of supernatural creatures I can't because the slight scar on my neck proves me wrong. I rub my hand across the raised skin on my neck and shudder.

The ride home from Aiden's was surprisingly quite. When my house came into view I had the sudden compulsion to jump out the car and run but I held myself in check. I noticed my Dad's truck wasn't there so they weren't home yet. "Whew" big relief there.

Aiden pulled the car up the garage and I went to reach for the door but before I could I felt Aiden's fingers grip my arm. I jerked my head around to look at him. When I did I wish I wouldn't have because he was so breathtakingly beautiful I could barely focus.

I tried to remove my arm from his grip but he just held on tighter.

"What?" I asked.

"I know that saying this is probably redundant but you cant tell anyone about me or what you've learned."

I rolled my eyes at his statement. "I won't. Plus no one would believe me anyway. Are we done now?" I asked once again looking him in the eye. He studied my face like he was trying to determine if I was being honest or not. Seeming to be satisfied that I was telling the truth he released my arm.

I again went for the door knob but before I opened the door his voice stopped me. "Lexa" I held in the shiver at hearing my name in his voice and turned back to him.

His eyes were slightly dilated. "Be Careful and I'll be watching." I nodded my head and get out of the car and headed towards the front door. He stayed put until I was in the house. Once I closed the front door I went to the window and pulled the curtain back. When I looked out I saw Aiden backing out the driveway and leave.

I released a breath I didn't know I had been holding. I shook me head and headed up to my room. I changed into a pair of sweatpants and Cami and laid in bed. Which brings me back to the present.

I looked at my Iphone and noticed it was about 2pm. My parents should be here anytime.

I noticed that there wasn't any missed calls or texts from Anna. "Huh, That's odd." Shoving my thoughts away about Aiden I pressed on Anna's name and called her. The phone rang about 3 times and then her voicemail picked up. I furrowed my brows because Anna always answers when I call and I knew by the amount of rings that she had hit ignore.

I left a brief voicemail telling her to call me once she got it. I heard the door open downstairs and could hear my parents voice drifting up the stairs. I picked myself up out of bed, took a deep breath, put a smile on my face and made my way downstairs.

I walked into the kitchen and went up to both my parents and pulled them into a group hug. They both froze and then hugged me back after a minute. Just thinking of something happening to them makes me want to burst into tears.

I hold them in and when I release them from the hug they both give me strange looks. "Honey is everything alright?" My mom asks.

While smiling at them I reply "Everything's fine I just missed you guys is all." They both stare at me for a moment and then nods their heads accepting my lie.

"Well, since you guys just got home you probably need to rest so I'm gonna head back up to my room and chill out." I tell them. My Dad looks at me like he's examining me. Oh Shit! My father has always has a sixth sense in regards something being wrong with me. I keep my smile on my face as I look at him. He narrows his eyes at me but doesn't say anything.
