Zephyranth waited for the train to arrive as she read a book, and then she heard that the Luxury Train has arrived.

The trip would take two days from Ioannina in Greece and the auction would take place in another two days.

Now, Zephyranth was in a Luxray Car although there was two separate beds. Apparently she would have to share the car with someone else.

She just hopes they are not annoying or anything.

She sat down to read a book and was a few pages in when the door opened up.

There was a man with wild green hair that seemed to stick out as if it was possible with electricity.

He was also wearing a lab coat and faintly smelled of chemicals, a scientist.

With bottlecap glasses, and slight stubble on his chin, he probably never had contact outside of work.

In short, a workaholic.

Well, hopefully she can maintain somewhat of a distance from him.

Verde did not know what to expect as he boarded the train to Brussels for flame research with a certain Belgian Mafia family that specializes in a new flame weapon tech that he believes he could advance.

He may have been in the Mafia for only a decade after his lightning flame activated, but he quickly rose to fame as an ingenious scientist in the field.

Call him a little nosy, but he also did research on the person he was to bunk with for the next two days.

A young lady named Annabelle Silverman, obviously a fake name, looked like she could still be a minor if it weren't for the fact her ID said she was 23.

She came from old money on her mother's side and her dad who was a baker married into the family. Both died when she was 6 and placed in the care of her father's relatives, who mistreated her as her mother's will stated her daughter would inherit all the wealth once she was of age and if she did die prematurely, it would go to charity. But karma hit them when the police found her in a closet a year after words, locked from the outside with questionable bruises. After that, her uncle was arrested for reckless driving, his history of alcohol abuse, and child abuse while the aunt was placed under house arrest for 20 years as she had her own son to care for and they had no other living relatives. She was placed in the care of one of her mother's friends until she was 18.

Anything else was vague.

She still managed to obtain high scores through her school years and even gained degrees in History and archeology within two years, even become valedictorian.

When Verde entered the suite, he did not expect the trace of Sky flames in the air, obviously from the woman before him.

Although she was born from prestige, she dressed in comfortable clothing.

(Imagine a green turtleneck as a shirt instead)

But it did nothing to hide her aristocratic features, high cheekbones, emerald eyes, and black hair reaching her mid-back.

"Ah, I suppose we'll be bunking for a while." She said in a thick British accent. "Annabelle Silverman."

Verde nodded back with, "Sergio Salvadore." He said I'm an Italian accent.

As the train finally started to go, Zephyranth looked out the window at the scenery, estimating that she will in Brussels two afternoons from now. Returning to her book, she was oblivious to Verde's slight glances of her.

Last he checked, there were not many Civilian Skies because it would cause a stir in the Mafia, hence everyone made sure to have offspring in the Mafia otherwise illegitimate offspring were hunted down or brought into their world. One from the U.K. was unheard of as there are no Mafia families of that Nationality. Her flames were strange as well, Sky flames so pure he could not believe it, and she was basically unattached. Meaning she has no guardians, but she does not seem to be looking for any.

And oddly, his lightning was going back and forth from wanting to prod at her flames then retreating then trying again.

After four and a half hours, Zephyranth finished her book to take a breath, and looked over a menu for room service.

She then looked at her roommate who was absorbed in his work.

"Something to drink?" She said getting his attention.

"Hm?"

"It's almost dinner. Something you like?"

".....As long as it's quick to eat."

So Zephyranth got two Monte cristos for room service with coffee for 'Sergio' and raspberry tea for herself.

--------------
After the two ate, Zephyranth took a quick shower and dressed early for bed.

She sat down to read another book she had.

Verde felt stiff as he had not noticed it was already 9pm and turned to see his roommate in a very modest nightgown but it did reveal that she had a shapely chest, which was thankfully covered.

"You alright mate?" She asked in British slang.

"Yes, just did not notice the time passing after dinner." He cleared his throat.

"So, why are you heading for Brussels?" Zephyranth asked in curiosity.

".........For research purposes. Mostly classified." Verde bluntly said. Thankfully Zephyranth did not press further. "And yourself?"

"Ah, a friend of mine told me there was an auction going on, and some of the pieces were actually stolen from my family a couple generations back. So I'm getting them back. I'm amazed they're still around." Zephyranth said as vaguely as possible.

Verde nodded briefly as Zephyranth stood up and departed for a bed.

"Well, have a good night. Don't push yourself too hard." Zephyranth smiled.

As she drifted to sleep, Verde rubbed his face.

This will feel like a long trip. But he needs to endure the next day and a half.
