Rory and Logan - What now?

15- It's my birthday

Rory's POV

A few weeks had gone by since my baby is almost here thing. I was totally out of bed rest now, but I was asked not to do any crazy stuff, which was hard to explain to the boys, specially since today was my birthday. I asked Logan to do something low key. He spent all day with me. In the morning he brought me a nice breakfast with coffe, actual coffee not that decaf thing. We then went out for lunch to a fancy restaurant and then came back home.

- So how you enjoying your special day Ace?
- I loved it Logan, thanks for doing this for me
- Oh and there's much more yet, don't worry not crazy stuff
- Thanks, I'll appreciate it if this nice baby of ours stayed right where it is a few more weeks
- You know it's hard to believe that in a little more than a month we'll be parents
- I know right it's just crazy
- Well now let's go out for the best part

We got into the car and started driving, at first I couldn't realized where we were going but then it hit me.

- Wait! Are we going to Starshallow?
- Yes, I thought you'd like some home time for your birthday
- You do know me well Logan
- I just want to see you happy
- You're the best

I leaned in for a kiss, he was totally ready for it, that was something I loved, he was always ready for everything. And I was ready for everything as long as I had him by my side. When we arrived to Starshallow we went to my mom's house . April and Luke were also there.

- Happy birthday kid!! Can't believe it's been 33 years since you came out of me
- Mom please don't tell me that story again. Not now that I'm about to have my own baby
- Fine I'll skip it this year

- Luke how can you always be proud of her
- Hey Lor she is growing up! What you say we go to the dinner and I make you a special table like when you turned 16

As we were heading to the dinner we were talking and catching up on everything. When Luke opened the dinner and turned on the light everyone juped out

Everyone was there, Grandma, Lane, Paris, Honor, Dad, Gigi, Dean, Jess, Louis, Maddie, Babette, even Kirk.

- You did this? For me?
- Surprise Ace
- Thank you so much all of you

We had such a grate time. Food was amazing as always, we did karaoke, we danced, we payed some board games, it felt like nothing else mattered, all my friends and family were there. The world was perfect. After many hours of party everyone started going home. Including Logan and I.

He handed me a paper, it seemed like a contract, but I wasn't sure of what

- What? Your giving me the- How? What?
- Huntzberger Publishing bought the New Yorker and since it's always been your dream, I thought you could not only write for it but direct it, we need someone who's keen and passionate, I do think that is you
- Logan this is incredible, but you do know in pregnant right? And I haven't written an article in months, god I was never even an editor
- About the pregnancy don't worry you start when you want, and Ace, you are extremely talented, just the world wasn't really helping you, I'm sure you'll make it.
