Dal laughed. Well, initially it started with a sarcastic fake laugh, but soon it turned into a real laugh with tears forming on the sides of her eyes and her stomach ached from laughing so hard.
"Let me go die in a hole or something." The book was back on her table. It had only been a few hours that she had burned the book. She only just finished binging on the series. It was evening, and she was going to go on a walk.
Irritated, she picked the book and finally opened it.
She found herself opening the envelope out of exasperation.
"You're invited to our bloody birthday party.
Sometimes, walking down the deadly path
Without fleeing from death itself
Can give rise to the most wondrous creations.
We hope you are able to come."
Dal read from the card. She noticed the date and time of the 'bloody birthday party' and realized it was just an hour later, at 10 PM.
"Wow, an adventure, just my thing." Dal rolled her eyes.
Despite hating the whole deal, Dal decided that she would go and find out just what this thing is about; why she was targeted like this.
Thus, she got dressed in her best outfit: a pair of black wide legged pants, a slightly oversized full-sleeved black t-shirt, her black maxi overcoat with her usual white sneakers.
She checked the address and headed out.
It was only after she reached the address that she realized she came to the 'haunted house' of the city. Not like Dal was scared of anything, but she liked being cautious. Dal definitely did not believe in anything being haunted, but she sure was skeptical about the place being a hideout of criminals. Maybe it was just her assumptions; because that was what she would have done if she ever needed to hide: take refuge in a 'haunted house' that people were too scared to enter.
She once again checked the card for the address to make sure she was in the right place, and when she did, she walked up to the front door and knocked.
She waited for somebody to open the door, and while she waited, she observed the place.
The whole area of the house looked old and abandoned, as if nobody had been there is decades, which probably was the case anyway.
There was a small front yard which too was unkempt: dry and old.
It wasn't even late, however the surroundings gave off an eerie feeling.
"What a vibe, really. Just my thing." Dal wasn't kidding when she said it was her thing. If she could, she'd just clean up the place and reside there. Imagine living without paying rent!
Dal knocked door again a few times.
Minutes passed, and still nobody answered. She twisted the door knob and found it open.
"Hello, since nobody answered, I'm coming in, anyway!" Dal announced and entered the house.
Silence and darkness was what welcomed her as she made her way it. A shiver ran down her spine as she wondered in. The place gave off a cold, unsettling feeling.
To see better, Dal took her phone out of her pocket and turned on the flash.
The place was as empty as it could be.
Dal walked ahead and opened the first door on her left; only to find it empty. Thus, she walked on and slightly opened the next door.
She peeped in through the distance of the door and saw some boys sitting on a round table. She opened the door a little more, and noticed 6 boys sitting around the round table; and this time she finally saw Jungwon who they used to speak about. The one who was missing this time was Sunoo.
Dal opened the door fully and watched all the heads turn to her. Before she could do anything, she felt somebody hit her head from behind.
"Everything will be turned upside down." Was the last thing she heard before she passed out.
