Dal had checked every room in the house and still couldn't find a single door or window that she could use to escape. When she would enter the room full of people and see open window, she would make a run for it, but the second she would reach, she would see the windows to be locked.
"Cursed." That's what she would tell herself every single time.
Reluctantly, she walked down back to the living room. The boys were then sitting on the couch, speaking to each other.
Dal stood by the table again, and found the book there.
"What a frustrating little piece of shit." She muttered to herself.
She looked back at the boys, and unexpectedly had eye contact with the puppy like boy. She opened her mouth to say something, but he had turned his head away.
Sighing, she sat on the floor, with the stupid book in her hand.
She wanted to rip the book, but refrained from it.
"Enha, huh?" The sighs were endless. The glances by the boys, mainly Sunoo, remained unnoticed by her, mostly because whenever she looked at them, they weren't looking at her.
'Would they look at me if I throw this book at them? Should I just burn the book in front of them? Why are they ignoring my existence when they're the ones who cursed me with this shit? What a nuisance.' Dal decided against all of what her mind was screaming at her to do and walked towards the stairs, which was also filled with people talking among themselves.
She picked a corner and sat there, holding her head. Closing her eyes, she breathed long and slow breaths, trying to block out all the noise, and mostly her thoughts.
After spending over half an hour there, she physically could not anymore. She felt drained. She rose from the stair and walked to the kitchen.
"Sunghoon?" She called prince charming, who was standing by the kitchen counter. Sunghoon's head turned to her direction instantly.
'Not ignoring me now, huh?'
"Please take this book and spare me. I don't know why you all are doing this to me." She held the black book out to him.
"What do you mean? What did we do?" He sipped on the red liquid on his clear cup, a smirk forming on his lips.
"Cursed me."
"You make me laugh, princess."
"What is the point of this? Why me? Why now all of a sudden? Who are you all?"
"Feeling scared, Hanuel? The world's already drunk in this swirling glass, but here you are, with your burning heart, yearning for what you've left behind."
"What did you just call me?" Dal's eyebrows furrowed as she felt a pang in her heart, ignoring everything else he had said; her mind stuck on the name. She was starting to feel awful again, that sick breathless feeling coming back.
"Princess? Is that what your kink is?" He winked at her.
"I-. You know what, fuck it. I am not going to let myself lose my mind on this shit for any longer. Just let me leave." She held on to the counter for support.
"Oh, my my, princess. But you'll just have to stay." Sunghoon smiled.
'What?'
"You're trapped in this carnival." With that, he disappeared, leaving Dal all confused and frustrated.
