Sunoo's hold on Hanuel only got tighter when she tried to get out and wake everyone up to finally make their escape.
Hanuel felt conflicted. She did not want to let go of Sunoo yet, but she also didn't want to lose this chance.
After laying there for about 15 minutes, which consisted of Hanuel giving Sunoo as many kisses and holding him as close to her as she could while rubbing her palm against his back, she finally decided it was time for them to get up.
She started with waking Sunoo up.
"Sunoo. Wake up." She lightly tapped on his back repeatedly until he woke up. "You need to pack all your things, now. I'll go wake the others. Act fast."
"What happened? Why are you crying?" Hanuel had not even noticed that she was crying until he had pointed it out.
"It's nothing. I'll tell you later. Do what I said. I'll go wake the others. Can you wake Niki up and tell him to do the same?" Hanuel quickly headed to Jay first, who shared room with the 02 line, in the room next to hers. She would always go to Jay first, anyway. It was just something about him that comforted her to speak her mind without holding back. She knew he would understand everything without losing his shit. He was always quick to his feet.
It didn't take her much to wake Jay up, despite him being a heavy sleeper.
Jay groaned as he sat and rubbed his eyes. His sleepiness faded instantly after seeing Hanuel.
"What happened?" He was starting to panic.
"Jay, we need to leave, now. It isn't safe here. We need to escape tonight."
"What have you seen? Did something happen?"
"We don't have time, Jay. We have to be quick. We need to leave while they're asleep. We can't make any noise, you already get the drill. You should start packing whatever you need."
"I'll wake Jake and Sunghoon up. You go and wake Heeseung." Jay quickly got to his feet, rushed to taking his bag pack and stuffing his things. He quickly woke Sunghoon and Jake up, who did not get what was happening, probably because Jay hadn't told them anything, obviously because he himself didn't know the situation, but started copying Jay anyway.
Heeseung used to share his room with Jungwon. When Hanuel entered the room, she felt a sudden blow of uneasiness and guilt as her eyes fell on Jungwon's empty bed.
She woke Heeseung up and went back to her room, to pack her things too.
Within 10 minutes, they were all ready and gathered at Hanuel's room.
"We're going to leave, find shelter somehow, but that's not the concern right now. Jay and I will then we'll go to the police station to report them."
"Why are we running away?" Niki's question triggered Hanuel's guilt again.
"It's better for you guys to not know." Hanuel's reply was not satisfactory since they objected, mainly Sunoo and Niki. "They have been selling us off in the name of adoption. They sell us for our organs. If we don't leave now, they're going to sell you two tomorrow."
The look of sheer horror on their faces as realization dawned them, was also the reason why Hanuel didn't want to let them know.
It was all starting to make sense to them. They always noticed the hints, but never took them seriously.
"Now, listen to what I say carefully, and listen well. You all have to do what I say. I will get the keys if the doors are locked, and we will run; and when I say run, I mean really run. We will leave this city if we have to, but that is after we report them to the police. If by any chance we get caught, I'll do whatever I can to get you all out, so you better not hesitate, and run for your lives, get it? I will handle the adults if we get caught. I better not see you guys thinking of ways to save me. You will leave, is that clear?" They all answered quiet 'yes,' knowing full well how serious she was. Times like this would show how authoritative Hanuel could get.
