The following day is a Saturday, it starts out the usual way, activity less up until after lunch when my parents send me to buy some stuff, they insist on taking me to the shops being their annoyingly over protective selves, but today I'm not having it, I have to explain and explain and actually... literally wrote a while essay of what I would say to them but in the end they give in after LONG and I mean LONG instructions about me being careful. I nearly roll my eyes but sympathize with them. This is because...well I had a twin brother that died tragically, I survived but he did not, well that info just brings up sad stories so I would rather not think about it.

The place where we are living is North Kalengwa it is today that I take a mini tour of the road, a place that has many plots and people build all types of houses to their own liking, most houses are big and beautiful, it's a quiet and peaceful area that I am yet to learn about, it's also far from the main market and town where most shopping centres are found, I'm headed to town, to buy soap, shampoo, deodorant, spray for me and maybe some converse canvas. I put on a floral dress with chiffon material that is flared and long sleeved, the dress is above my knees but not too short. I get on a bus to take me to a place called 'Pattersons' or something.

The bus ride is surprisingly fast and all around I'm seeing people moving to and fro, from young kids, teens to adults, people around my age. I pass by small, two bedroom apartments, 3 bedroom, small and big. The bus eventually drops me off at a station by Patterson place. I cross the road to the other side where there are grocery stores, clothes, shoes, ice cream places and finally the main point of my journey a computer place where I can print and photo copy my papers, since I'm starting university on Monday online I need to send some stuff and photo copy some things to send over to the Gmail address. I crossed the road quickly observing all the people moving about, it seems like this place was quite busy and bustling with business. I keep on walking and finally begin entering all the stores.

I haven't had much contact with people. It's not because I'm anti social but as crazy as it sounds I've been living in Zambia my whole life but I was homeschooled, it's why I'm doing art in the university, the university has a link to Harvard university which offers art and amazing art programmes online which is what I'm doing, actually there is a reason why Harvard took me in, it wasn't luck or a mere coincidence, there is actually more to me and my past than meets the eye. I'm surprisingly comfortable in the shops and among the cashier's as I pay for my stuff and lastly I head to the cafe.

As I am on my way to the internet cafe I feel a cold chill down my spine, I do not understand why but I suddenly feel nervous, it appears like there are many people and there which is why I'm nervous but that's not it, still I can't shake the feeling. As I walk on through the main door, it's like at this point my soul is ready to jump out of my body. I even feel cold walking into the room as my body explodes into goosebumps. I feel like turning back because I do not understand the strange fear that has enveloped me, that is until I notice a shadow in the distance, I blink once and twice but no the shadow is still there. It's coming closer and closer to me and I it's like I'm in a trance but I relax and take a deep breath, close and open my eyes and notice a girl looking at me. 'Excuse me' she says, I look around and realize that I'm paused by the door, embarrassed I quickly move away and settle at the nearest empty desk with a computer, I look around and no one had noticed, I sigh in relief. I'm planning on making friends and the last thing I need is to scare away my friends because of my weirdness.

Quickly I type out some things, hand them over to the cute, dark skinned guy behind the counter, he seems friendly enough and we even chat a little...making small talk, I print out some of the documents and by the time I'm walking out of the computer place I'm better than when I came in. I pick up my favourite chocolate, Cadbury's mint flavour with some water and by the time I get on the bus I feel much better and the wierd things that happened are long forgotten.
