Chapter 31

Since the duo had never been snorkeling, they really didn't know what to expect when they got on the boat. They scrambled—really just Rebecca—trying to find something to wear, but when Colby's eyes lit up at the bikini Rebecca had on, she knew she picked the right one.

Which is what lead them to cuddling together on the top of the boat. Rebecca was sprawled across his chest as they laid in the leaned back chair, and Colby was rubbing his hands up and down her body. The two sat there enjoying the view as the boat took them to their destination.

"I'm a little scared..." Rebecca said, making Colby's hand move to her head. He pulled her chin up so he could look at her. "I've always been afraid of deep water...i'm scared."

Colby chuckled and leaned down to kiss her forehead. "It's ok babe. I'll be right there with you. I won't leave your side."

Rebecca looked at him with a sad smile. "Promise?"

Colby nodded and kissed her. "I promise."

A guy named Nick got them suited up. The masks only cover their eyes and noses; because apparently they'll be going deeper than either of them thought. Rebecca tensed up beside Colby, who was holding onto her hand trying to calm her down. They're also given mouth pieces that they can breathe through that are attached via a long tube to an oxygen tank on a small raft that they'll pull along the surface above them as they swim. Each tank-raft combination can support two divers, so of course they're paired together.

When they slowly slide into the water and reach for their oxygen nozzles, Colby watches Rebecca nervously look around the water. "Becks...I'm right here. You're ok."

After glancing at her again to make sure she was comfortable enough, they shove their nozzles in and give Nick a thumbs up.

They take hold of the raft that carries their shared oxygen tank. With another glance at each other over the top, Colby grabs Rebecca's other hand and they ducked down underwater. They were disoriented for a beat of breathing through the respirator and seeing through the mask, but after a few seconds Colby jerks his head indicating which way he wants to go.

Rebecca nods and squeezed his hand as she followed him. Underwater she is easily consumed with everything around them. Fish swimming along the water, and seaweed scattered across the ocean.

A reef came into view, and the closer they got to it, the more unreal it becomes. They both smile at each other when they watch a family of sea horses swim past them. Colby squeezed her hand making sure she was still ok before he lead her to another part.

Before they knew it they were both having fun and swimming more freely. They point to things they each want to see, and soon Rebecca's fears are put to rest.

She's enjoying this more than she thought she would, and she's enjoying it with her favorite person.

Back at the boat they emerge soggy and breathless. They remove their masks and meet each other's eyes. "That was fun!"

Colby smiled and leaned over to kiss her. "I told you you would be ok."

They peel off their wetsuits and hands them to Nick. Colby steps forward to grab their bags. "Where can we change?"

Nick turns around and winces. "We only have one bathroom and it tends to get pretty crowded, so I suggest to head down there soon. I would suggest going in together to not be a hold up to anyone."

Rebecca looks at Colby and presses her lips together. They walk down to the bathroom and both go in. The bathroom is the size of a closet so they're both cramped up. They both clutch onto their clothes trying to stay balanced. "You can go first." Colby said turned towards the door.

Rebecca shrugged. "We can just change at the same time. I'll face this wall."

Colby nodded and they both began working at taking off their clothes. There's water splattered everywhere now that they took off their bathing suits.

Rebecca then shakes her head knowing that her boyfriend's butt is inches away from hers. It's ok Rebecca. We're dating now, it's ok.

A little panicky she scrambles for her towel and slips, which makes Colby slip. He catches her and tries to push her up but instead she ends up falling on top of him. "Oh my god! I'm so sorry!"

Colby shook his head. "It's ok."

"Are you ok? You slammed hard on the floor!" Rebecca asked touching his face.

Colby nodded. "I'm good. I was just trying to keep you from falling..."

Rebecca then laughed as she stared into his eyes. She was already in her bra and panties but Colby just had his boxers on. Rebecca placed a hand on his chest and she felt his heart racing just about as fast as hers was.

She gave him a small smile before standing up. She helped Colby up and when she did she fell back against the wall while he stepped back and picked up his clothes.

Once they were both dressed they gathered their wet clothes into their bag and left the small bathroom. "So...besides our little fall in the bathroom, did you have fun?"

Rebecca nodded from beside of him. "I had so much fun."

Colby smiled and intertwined their hands together, making Rebecca blush. "I can't wait to show you what else I have planned."
