— june 2020"...so y/n? what are some ideas you have for this week's cover?" you looked up from the notes you were taking on the meeting's discussion and set them down on the counter next to your laptop, clicking your tongue and gathering your thoughts before speaking. "well we should definitely steer away from reminding people about covid-19" you started, slightly throwing shade towards your coworker, sydney, who wanted to do a covid montage.
"okay but we should still be reminding people that this virus is still very much active" you looked away from the screen, sighing in annoyance before looking back at your camera. "you do understand that this is a fashion magazine right? it's not our job to remind people, we're not fox 2" you remarked and you couldn't help but notice the girl sneering at you from the other side of her screen.
"fashion magazine or not, we still—"
"Y/N!!!" your jaw clenched tightly when the obnoxious voice came booming from down the hallway. you muted your mic for a minute before shouting back. "LEAVE ME ALONE I'M BUSY" you unmuted yourself and apologized for the disruption, screwing your eyes shut out of embarrassment.
"but like i was saying-" you heard him ringing the bell you got for him nonstop, interrupting your sentence again. "excuse me for a moment" you quickly got out of the stool and stomped down the hall, swinging the door open and greeting katsuki with an agitated look. "WHAT DO YOU WANT?!"
"DON'T YELL AT ME!" you had to bite your tongue to keep you from cursing the boy out. you rubbed the lines out of your forehead as you counted to ten inside of your head, exhaling deeply before opening your eyes again. "katsuki, i'm working" you spat. "if you interrupt me again, i'll lock you in this fucking room and set it on fire!" you slammed the door back and readjusted yourself before walking back into the kitchen with a tight smile on your face.
you sat back down in front of your laptop, ignoring the weird looks that your coworkers were sending you. "moving on..." your boss started. "i need you all to brainstorm some ideas for the cover and send them to me by tomorrow night" you picked up a sticky note and wrote down her words as a reminder. "that'll be all, stay inside and be safe" she finished before ending the meeting.
a long sigh left from your lips as you ran your fingers from up your face into your scalp, gripping at your hair as your thoughts swirled around in your head. "Y/N!" you sharply inhaled at the boy's annoying screaming, it was soon followed by some loud banging, although the noise came from your front door rather than the bedroom.
you lifted off of the stool again and walked over to the door, putting your eye up to the small glass hole and looking through the peephole to see your landlord—giovonni—at the door.
"the fuck does he want" you murmured before unlocking the door, coming face to face with his crossed arms and displeased expression. "is there something wrong?" the frown on his face became deeper at your question.
"why can you two not be quiet?! every day i get complaints!" he rambled on. "mrs. martinez just threatened to call the police because she said she heard someone talking about burning the place down!" your lips went into a tight line while you pinched the bridge of your nose.
you felt a presence behind you and quickly turned around, seeing katsuki staring at the man with a scowl on his face. "tell that old hag to mind her business and hurry up and drop dead" you heard giovanni gasp before katsuki slammed the door shut in his face, hearing the man talking to himself in italian before walking away.
"no no no, you're supposed to be quaranting yourself, go back in the room" you demanded and he let out a loud groan. "i don't need to quarantine, just give me some damn medicine" he exclaimed and you shook your head against it. "i refuse to get sick, deuces" you put your hand on his back and pushed him back towards the bedroom
"can you at least make me some food? 'm fucking starving back here" katsuki shouted, placing a hand on his abdomen and rubbing his stomach. you never realized that he was so needy, it was like you were looking after a toddler rather than a young adult.
"what do you want to eat? i'm getting doordash?" you asked loud enough so that he could hear you. he didn't respond for a few minutes and you assumed that he was trying to figure out what exactly he wanted. "nevermind, you're taking too long" you said to yourself while you went ahead and just ordered for him, you already had a pretty good idea of what he wanted anyways.
"order some mexican food!" you paused, that wasn't even close to what you ordered but he'll be okay, if he was really hungry then he would eat whatever you ordered.
