you and katsuki hadn't spoken to each other in days. per usual, the both of you were being petty and not talking to each other because of the last time you two  got into an argument, but recently it seemed like you weren't getting into anything but arguments, every word exchanged from each other was spiteful, malicious, or had some sort of venom lacing the tone as it flowed from either one—or both of your mouths.

you couldn't even remember how it started, it most likely something small that just happened to snip the thin line of patience you'd been trying so hard to grip onto that set it off, but with his short temper and bad attitude you wouldn't be surprised if he had did or said something that incited the fight also.

the both of you were in the kitchen—opposite sides of course—you were sitting at the small island as you typed away at the article in front of you that you needed to submit by they end of the week for the magazine company you worked for while he stood in front of the counter top, chopping some vegetables into small pieces and threw them into the large pot that bubbled on the stove top, from the smell of it you assumed he was making his special recipe for ramen.

"i wanna break up" you announced. his chopped came to a halt for a moment, you looked up from your laptop and your eyes landed on him, his back still turned away from you. a low hum rumbled from his chest before he started cutting against, this time more harder. "why?" his gravelly voice spoke up and you chewed the inside of your lip.

you shrugged your shoulders as if he could actually see you. "i dunno, it's nothing really left in this relationship" a scoff came from him as he chopped harder. "even if it was would you even try to fix it? lord know you love running away from shit and avoiding your problems" he spat which caused you to screw your face up from the false information he was spewing.

"how am i running away? you go fucking days without talking to me and then you don't even wanna communicate, you just sweep everything under the rug"

he slammed the knife down on the cutting board and huffed deeply, already knowing where this conversation was about to lead and he truly didn't have the patience for this tonight. "first of all" he started as he turned around to look at you, the both of you sending icy glares at one another. "i don't sweep shit under the rug, i know how to move on unlike you who constantly brings stuff that happens months ago!"

"obviously if i'm bringing it up then i'm still fucking affected by it but you wouldn't know because you don't care how i feel and you never want to talk to me" he rolled his eyes before running his large hand down his face in frustration. "if you wanna talk go to a god damn therapist"

you stood up from your seat and turned your head to the side as you looked at him crazy. "i shouldn't have to talk to a god damn therapist because i have a boyfriend"

"FINE THEN LET'S FUCKING TALK!" katsuki started to walk closer to you as he voice boomed throughout the kitchen.

"THERE'S NOTHING TO TALK ABOUT NOW" you threw your hands up in exasperation because it was like he just wasn't fucking getting it. "IT'S ABOUT THE PRINCIPLE KATSUKI, AND IT'S LIKE YOU DON'T GET IT" you matched his volume.

"you know what? do whatever the fuck you want" he hissed before stomping out of the room, his heavy footsteps leading to your shared bedroom before a loud slam followed after. "yeah and i'm the one who walks away from shit" you rolled your eyes before sitting back down, fingers gripping at your hair in irritation as you tried to steer your focus back at the task in front of you.
