"I just think that we should stay friends. Trust me, I care about you, but I think taking that next step will ruin what we already have. Okay?" She had such sadness in her eyes but she put on a smile anyway.
"Wendy," I sighed running my hands through my hair looking at the ground. My eyes went up and met hers, "Alright, if it is what you want and it will make you happy than sure. But Wendy?"
"Yes, Peter?" I loved it when she said my name; her voice alone gave me goose bumps.
"Can you promise me that," I laughed giving her a hug and whispering in her ear, "I'll always be your Peter?" She looked up at me and giggled,
"Yes of course, my lost boy."
