After Hopper and Joyce shared their 'moment' , and we had finally some what escaped the hells of the prison - there was still the challenge of now getting fully out of this hell hole.
We where all spaced out around the room, Joyce and Hopper together once more, whilst Murray and Enzo tired to find away out by interrogating the remaining two Russian trapped with us in the room. For me however, i was still trying to come to terms with what the actually hell happened to me on that court yard. It was definitely a warming - a threatening one at that, but to the kids and whatever this beast was, i doubted it would show any kind of mercy to them.
Thoughts whirred around my mind until i saw Joyce - standing in front of me with a tired but thankful smile gracing her features.
"Hey" she breathed out, and my mind finally fell into place that this was the first time in months i had been in the presence of someone that reminded me so much of home ; someone who was always the sweetest person you could ever meet, was right their in-front of me.
Without thinking twice i slung my arms around her as she welcomed the hug.
"You have no idea how happy i am to see you again" i breathed out in joy.
Everything was starting to work out - to some extent. And the fact that Joyce and Murray where able to get to us, just proved that there was nothing that could come our way and stop us from getting back home.
"I missed you too" Joyce laughed out as we pulled away.
"How have you been - hows Max's been" i slung questions at her, i know it was probably way to early to start pilling the question on, but i just wanted to make sure everything was fine - especially now.
"Oh honey, we moved to California when you- " she paused empathetically, of course she wanted to say when i died, but how was she to know we would be took to a torturous Russian prison.
"-we, we haven't really seen them much, but i know Max writes to El and she seems okay, but she misses her big sister" Joyce finished, although it wasn't much to go off, it still made my eyes water that Max didn't just do her usual thing and shut everything about me down - as long as she was fine, so would i be.
Before i could ask her anything els, Murray spoke up from in front of one of the many screens that decorated the room.
"Uh - i hate to interrupt, but apparently they can climb too" the room was thrown into a silence as we all gathered around the small screen, only to see that the demogorgen had in fact now jumped up to the second level above the courtyard, stalking over to the rest of the guards with a malevolent intent.
We couldn't dwell on the screen much longer though as a cracking bang filled the room we where in. In-synced, we all turned around to face the rusted door at the end of the room that seemed to buckle and shake every time a roar was heard.
"The hell is that" Enzo was the first one to speak up lowly as the banging continued and we all stood our grounds, gazing at it in fear.
"Please tell me they don't have another one of those things" Murray spoke.
"I wouldn't rule it out" i muttered.
Of course, it wouldn't come as a surprise if they did end up having 10 more demogrogens -but it would mean a hell of a lot more fighting if we where going to get past them.
Enzo grabbed my wrist tightly, pulling me into his his side as a shield while the thrashing behind the door continued. Hopper towered in front of all five of us, slowly stalking over to the dreaded door as the Russian that where left inside with us started to shout out warnings. It didn't faze Hopper at all as he kept gravitating towards the threat, gun held high.
