The five of us stood huddled together watching the lights in the waiting room flicker as Will warned us of the Mind Flayer's presence in the hospital.
"He's here," Will repeated, putting a hand to the back of his neck.
In the blink of an eye, our group collectively decided to run out of the waiting room to find Jonathan and Nancy. If Mrs. Driscoll was flayed, they might be in trouble if the Mind Flayer was around.
"Hey, hey, hey! Two at a time!" The receptionist yelled, making no attempt to stop us.
Sprinting through the halls, we finally made it to the elevators, and I began to slam the call button furiously- waiting for it to arrive.
"Stairs," Mike said when the elevator didn't arrive. He then ran off, leaving us to follow him towards the stairs. After that, we started to follow trails of blood through the halls before we came across Jonathan; who was trying to break through a window to one of the rooms with an oxygen tank.
El quickly shoved him out of the way and blew the door down with her powers, Revealing that Nancy was in the room, with the most horrifying creature I've ever seen standing over her; the monster turning to us with a screech as we entered. It was terrifying! The thing had sharp teeth and looked like it was made of human flesh or something!
"Jesus!" Mike screamed from beside me as we saw it.
"What the fuck!" I yelled as the monster lunged at El.
Eleven screamed as she banged the monster- who I'm assuming is the Mind Flayer- against the walls and floors of the room before throwing it out the window. The scene was terrifying to witness, but El looked so badass.
"Go!" El called as we raced back through the halls after the Mind Flayer.
"Nancy!" Jonathan yelled as he raced to comfort his girlfriend.
In record time, we made it out of the hospital's doors and into the parking lot- hoping to find the Mind Flayer that El had just launched out the window. I noticed that Nancy and Jonathan had joined us now, arriving on the scene just after we did.
What we found in the parking lot wasn't the monster El had just destroyed, but its remains slowly slithering into the sewers beneath our feet. I wanted to vomit at the sight of it, and the squelching sounds it made as it moved.
And I felt vomit enter my mouth as I saw what the monster left in its wake: a fragment of a human bone.

It was the next morning now, and all seven of us were now at Hopper's cabin planning our next move. Nancy, Jonathan, and Will were calling different places around Hawkins about missing chemicals. El was in her room using her powers to search for Billy and the rest of the flayed. Lucas was eating cereal. Mike was being an idiot, and I was doing my best to stop him.
"It can't be good for her to be in there for this long," Mike stated for the tenth time so far.
"Mike, you need to relax," I responded as he began to pace the room.
"What if she gets brain damage or something?!"
"Oh, shit. Is that, like, a real thing?" Lucas chimed in.
"No, it's not. He made it up. Mike doesn't know what the hell he's talking about." I rolled my eyes.
"Oh, and you do?!" Mike shouted from across the room.
"No, I..." Our argument continued like this for a while, for the sake of your time and will to live I'll summarize it for you. Mike is an idiot, and I'm amazing. I am right. And he is wrong. End of story.
